US authorities have confirmed that from April 1 2016 all passengers travelling on the Visa Waiver / ESTA programme must have an e-Passport (one containing an electronic chip) to travel to the US.
Double check your passport - you should see a symbol on the front.
If you don’t have one you'll be denied travel.

Having seen what he's eating at the moment, it will be a change to see him on fruit, veg, nuts, crisps, gaucamole, hummus
After 30 days of subway / McD's and then assult the body with fruit, veg and hummus....I dont want to be in THAT car!

That's good to know I can't book my flights until February/March 2016 as I'm moving so hoping for a good deal too
NB Its Days Inn @ DIA not Aurora! stayed there this year, not great but will give a good idea of what you're in for for the next 10 nights! A couple of good eateries ( not sure about vegan options ) in short walking distance. Saw 2 funnels the first morning when waiting for pickup

Hi Chris, hey I just google search the Days Inn at Aurora and its showing as permanently closed and its not showing on the Days Inn website although the one at Denver International is showing. You may want to check your booking.
Hi thanks, yep checked and it's the tower road one, so it's the DIA one. I stopped there this year too. Thanks for the heads up

Just found out I can use my Avios points to get money off with BA. So used 10,000 points to get £75 off and only paid £508 from Manchester via LHR
Booked in at the Days Inn Aurora again for the night of the 9th June.

So looking forward to T4
Have booked Days Inn [edit] at DIA for the night of the 9th already.
Flights seem quite reasonable at the moment with the BA flight at £587
Chris[EDIT] - ended up paying £507 return from Manchester via LHR

First year I went was on T2 but the northern plains of T4 beat Texas and Oklahoma hands down everytime. Saying that T4 this year saw 10 states from New Mexico to North Dakota!

Hi my name is Dave the Dryer. For those that don't know me I'll be riding the rear moped on tour 13 and dealing with the sandwich side of things . I'll be staying in the caravan on the car park in uptown Dilton on Friday night but I am on flight DIal999.If you don't want to be friends with me don't add me (DaveDryer). My profile pic is pink and I'm in my underwear.
If you need anything you'll just have to wait.
It would be preferable to avoid me you're not drinking my beer.
Love it!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a remote shutter release compatible with a Canon 1000D?
Not really. They're not expensive so go with genuine Canon. The main question is wired or wireless. For tripod storm photography I use a wired release as the wireless one tend to need you to be in front "selfie" style

Ok I'll be in the bar!We are on an AA flight via Chicago O'Hell..... sorry, O'Hare. We get in to Denver around 7 pm.
I prefer the direct route rather than having to do immigration en route, did that last time via JFK and nearly missed connection flight as the systems were down. Sure you'll be fine!

Me and Ashley Nelis went with the Days Inn as it's only 60 quid at the moment. Pretty much next door to the Holiday Inn so we won't have much hassle on the 12th.
Great thanks. I'll cancel the microtel inn then and hopefully see you at Days Inn. Are you flying from Heathrow on the 1545 BA219?

Hi Thomas
To get the best from your shots you will need a tripod especially if taking lightning shots, As hand held will show up as bluring on the image, longer the exposure worse the blur
If you already have one it will need to go in your suitcase ,
If you don't wait until you get to usa as they are usally cheaper to buy out there, either from wally-world(Walmart) or Best-Buy

I bought a really cheap one from Walmart in 2013 - so cheap that I left in there when flying back home. This year I'll be taken my own tripod and also a monopod as well as a window mount tripod for video

EDIT...not at those prices! $197 I don't think so!I'm flying in on the 11th too, so will look at the holiday Inn as well. Flying out of Heathrow on the 15:45
Chris
I've already got a room reserved at microtel inn and days inn so I'll make a choice nearer the time. Although both have really mixed reviews on tripadvisor

Planning on flying into Denver a day early, so the 11th. Will probably book into the Holiday Inn for the 11th then too. Unless you've changed where you usually meet ?

LOLThe only necessary risk I occasionally take is travelling in the van after Paul has eaten chicken wings.
