  1. Flights Booked - check. ESTA approved - checked. Hotel booked - checked. Lightning trigger ordered - check. Just the storms to arrange now.
  2. ENSO Transition El Nino = tornado outbreaks over Texas panhandle in early June so fly into Denver and drive to TX!!
  3. getting TOO excited now. cant wait to arrive in Denver. going a day early to try and have a look around the scenery. anyone else on T4? Chris
  4. lightning trigger is a must have for me too. Got a 10-16mm wide angle lens just before xmas
  5. Me. See earlier post! Hi all, Booked on T4 this time. Did T3 in 2013 Haven't seen anyone else claiming a place on T4 but if there is, what hotel you using ? Looking at the Days Inn close to DIA. £76 a night is a bit steep but it's not far out of the pickup area. Would be good to meet up the night before. ( so on the 11th ) On flights I'm flying from Manchester but don't want a stop in the USA ( had a close call last time when immigration was down in JFK luckily my connecting flight to DFW was delayed ) so I'm doing MAN-LHR-DEN and looking at about £650 with BA. Lufthansa are doing a flight from MAN to Frankfurt and then to DEN for £609 which isn't bad either. Chris UPDATE - got Days Inn for £66 inc breakfast so quite happy with that. They have airport shuttle as well which helps

  7. It'll be the Denver chase for me next year I hope. Will be a very last minute thing as already have a 14 day trip to Vietnam booked in April and wont know if places/finances will allow until early May! Chris oh and yes... the new, improved dayglo vest will be coming!!!!!!
  8. Thoughts to the bereaved and their families. puts our adrenaline fueled junket into sobering perspective. Great catch team. Chris
  9. Sounds good to me Paul. Nothing like hitting the ground running and getting in at the deep end!
  10. Saturday should give at least a good end to Tour #2. Sunday will, IMO, be too far NE to hit from DFW. Shame!
  11. Thanks for clarifying that Paul. Not expecting to arrive at DFW until 1939hrs (local) on Saturday. No customs to clear there as I will have been through all that at JFK. The only weak point in my itinerary is getting through immigration/customs at JFK and getting from T7 to T8 to pick up my internal AA flight in 2 hours. Hoping that by only bringing cabin baggage I will be at the front of the queue!!!
  12. LOL yeah me too...need a new tripod! Looking on their web site they have some fairly cheap ones that will do for the trip.
  13. Hey all, I'm flying Manchester to LHR at 0830 Saturday morning. Heading into JFK and from there to DFW. Only doing that weird route as I'll be spending a few days in NYC after the tour with my GF. Really cant wait now and 4 - 8 day outlook starting to look better for the 19th onwards. Boomerang - you're just round the corner from me... I'm in Rocester, Staffs ... Oh and I work at Alton Towers so can imagine the queues at customs!! Chris
  14. trying to pre-guess day 2 discussion I think a little drift south to San Antonio?
  15. Good start chaps. Get it all nicely warmed up and iron out the wrinkles and I cant wait to see you on the 19th!
