  1. I'm in East Kilbride and had a look outside. It is simply clear with no cloud cover whatsoever. The above may have been a mistake. Although showers in the far west developing.
  2. Shows a lighting flash over Fenwick Moor but radar shows the lightest of shower in past hour.
  3. Weather not been good at all for anywhere in UK. I believe the North East of Scotland been the driest place of the UK over the last few days. And deepest sympathy for Greenhithe. All our thoughts with you...
  4. Again when do Fife witness Thunder during the winter. Hardly ever!!! Surprised the showers have pushed so Far East..
  5. Sorry to the above post I pressed the unlike by accident if you get this. Sorry
  6. The fact the Met Office forecast heavy showers for the west of Scotland yet don't mention any Thunder risk always possible during blustery showers in winter. Surprised further east into Central Scotland getting these Thundery Showers.
  7. Yes. Looks to me like a squall with unstable conditions as the cause.
  8. For me the biggest one I seen was in Glasgow 4th of May 2006. This was no squally shower it was indeed during a Spanish plume a day it was a warm, cloudy and muggy 24c high that day. As darkness fell the most spectacular thunderstorm started with constant lightning every couple of seconds for about 2 hours. It ravaged the City of Glasgow causing major flooding. That was the start of a cracking summer.
  9. Snowing heavy in East Kilbride already a dusting on street and cars. Was surprised as it's been a dry and clear evening.
  10. Also some thundery activity around Johnstone, Lennoxtown and indeed Dumfermline earlier.
  11. Lightning radar was showing several flashes over the Southern Uplands and into the Biggar area late last night around 11pm.
