    Thought it had gone quiet! Last plane that went over our house was about twenty minutes ago and I was thinking blimey an inch of snow and the airport is still managing to operate...almost unheard of LOL (Sorry if your an airport worker only joking!!)

    Been snowing here around Heathrow for the last hour, albeit light but the flakes are pepping up :-)

    Well we can't be that far apart both being from West London I'm virtually on the runway at Heathrow. Snow has settled on the cars,garden furniture and the dog!

    Snow, sleet and rain all day, now back to snow which has juststarted to settle. Temp 1 dewpoint -1

    Hi Robthefool I'm also nr Heathrow inbetween Hounslow and Staines and it's coming down a treat, settling everywhere...give it time I'm sure you'll have more than 2cms <_<

    Morning all Just been sent home from work so I'm very happy indeed Thought I'd share a couple of photo's of my back garden. Snow curently 71/2 inches /19 cms.

    I have seven inches of level snow and it's still falling! No buses running London transport have suspended all services. Lots of schools closing due to health and safety! Blimey we are grinding to a halt LOL Best snow since '91 easily ....

    Evening everyone I don't post very often but have been an avid lurker for some time now Just wanted to say 'Thank you' to everyone for making todays threads such fun, the posts have created such a brill atmosphere on the site today. Anyway after several flurries on and off all day we finally got settling snow just before 8pm ...in the last 45 minutes an inch has settled ....so if thats the light snow showers I can't wait to see what comes down later. Enjoy everyone and keep safe

    Heathrow- London Woke to what looked like frost but it was in fact a very light covering of snow. Having just let the dogs out now ( both black) something is falling making them white! Very small grains of white., which in the past five minutes have become heavier...total surprise
