Should really go in 6/3/06 however light snow shower with light covering of snow pellets ,snow grains around 6.00am in Canterbury,

In summary in Canterbury it snowed pretty much constantly from 2PM to 9PM. It was largely light snow but did leave accumulations in the garden perhaps 3-4mm at most. Eventually it did start to settle on roads and paths just enough to turn the roads and paths into a skating rink.
Any ppt overnight was extremely light and now the skies are clear

Well we had another 3cm of snow today before the rain arrived. The snow cover in garden is still holding out well, Canterbury

Snow just arrived on Canterbury at 8.34 , snowing hard, still have 8 - 9 cm of laying snow for it to add to.

No significant snow fall over night just a few flakes, snow depth still 10cm , 3rd day of laying snow

In Canterbury had two snow showers this morning from 7.00 - 8.00
Have between 6 - 8cm of laying snow.

Had some very light sleet between 8.45 - 9.15 while in queue for PC world sale in Canterbury , most unexpected as I thought it was too warm. Mainly rain but definitely some white stuff mixed in..

It also snowed hard in Canterbury at 1.30 - 2.00 am laid for 1hr - 1/2 then it rained melting the snow.

Around 10.15 had a terrific burst of snow pellets / hail /sleet lasted around 10 minutes then stopped and turned to rain, amazed as we were forecast to get nothing from this event
