lol nothing of any significance happening here! (I'm just west of West Bromwich).. I'm literally a few hundred metres from that line of showers!

Ok, why oh why are people driving about in this weather?? I’ve seen some shocking driving on my road from my bedroom window! People still speeding, overtaking other vehicles etc..

Yeah it does have a very 'siberian' feel out there! I was walking through Birmingham city centre yesterday during a mini blizzard and it felt sooo cold and bitter! a real experience

Meanwhile in Birmingham we have a millimetre or so in the drifts lol
Snow is just blowing around in the wind like powder!

I teach (no snow day for me!) just by the Spaghetti Junction in Birmingham and there really isn't much happening - Just very, very cold, light and blowy snow and very windy! We seem to be in a bit of a 'no snow zone' this time!

I just think it's where I live.. It just always seems to be cloudy and benign here.. I've still just got loads of dark, low broken cloud all packed together with no space for that 'pleasant' sun to get through..

I actually think it's rather horrible outside at the moment!! Cool, breezy, actually quite cloudy, and quite frankly not at all pleasant...

The weather is so frustrating!!! It's actually not all that pleasant out there right now.. Generally cloudy, windy, cool and quite frankly when we do see 4 seconds of sun it's not what you'd call 'pleasant'..

I agree! I even gave the garden a bit of a tidy up!! I've given up on this winter now - I just want it to get warmer, and if last Summer was anything to go by, thats maybe 6 degrees warmer than it is now!

Hey, I'm between Tipton and Great Bridge, I'm convinced I live in a little micro climate here sometimes.. I've lived here for about 18 months and I haven't had to scape frost off the car once!! I'm from Cardiff originally and this kind of non-event is something that I got used to!

yes, before 2000, winter used to be my favourite season, not nowadays cold spells are farty, this one only half hearted, no scandinavia high, no greenie high, no real cold uppers, so best at low levels is a smattering
think my favourite season now is summer
I think we get our best weather in Spring! We always tend to get our 2 week summer in April!!

Met office still predict rain and sleet for here in Tipton - but heavy snow for places like Sutton Coldfield.. hmm. I really can't see how I will get anything out of this though, its just not that cold outside... damp squib.

Agreed, our seasons are just getting mashed together!! In August we were getting dull, drizzly days with temps of 12-15 degrees - we had better days in December! Roll on Summer 2016 - I'm off to the USA for 4 weeks, i'm sure I'll see a proper summer there!
Still seems to be just drizzly here.....

Why has Shafali on Mids Today said "well it might be February but there is no sign of a warm up". Since when is February any warmer than any winter month??????

Yeah, it looks like it's pepping up as it approaches Birmingham but equally it looks like a big snow shield is activating!!

I work in Stratford-upon-avon and its raining heavily - I'm about to start my commute back home to Oldbury though!
