    Snowing in lower Gillingham. Settling on cars but not on the roads as yet.

    And it's stopped. Settled on garden walls etc but melting now.

    Snow in at work...outskirts of Chatham. Flakes getting larger.

    Well after getting off the bus at the top part of Chatham, the temperature has definitely dropped. Can see my breath and my hands were freezing when they had been ok.

    After absolutely pelting it down in Gillingham at 3.45 when I got up, it had stopped by 4.45 when I left the house. Medway council obviously think it's going to get a lot colder though as the gritters were out going through Chatham. Fingers crossed!

    Frost on vehicles at 22:30 in lower Gillingham and Parkwood Rainham. Looking forward to some proper weather instead of the plain white sky we've had of late.

    Long time no post (I read a lot though!). We had some lovely flakes in lower Gillingham, lasted about three minutes then gone.

    There's been powdery snow falling in Gillingham since I left home at 5.20. Still going now (in Chatham) but very light.

    Wow we have an amazing sky right now, part bright sunshine and part dark, dark clouds. Just heard thunder too! ETA: Here comes the rain, big heavy drops.

    We just had a bright flash of lightning. I adore storms.

    Morning folks. We just had a lovely long roll of thunder but the rain that had been going all night seems to have tailed off for the moment. Ooo another thunder roll! Eta: I spoke too soon. The rain is doing a lovely gentle drizzle. Bet that changes later.

    I would like to think that it would, purely because I would hate to see a wedding upset, however, Mother Nature and Bertha remnants may have other ideas. Really I know which I would put my money on!

    Evening all. A light rain starting here in Medway now. The tent that was in the garden for the kids has been taken down and stowed in the shed - just in case.

    Morning! Our gorgeous blue skies and sun have disappeared into pelting down rain and greyness. *sighs*

    Thunder lightning and wind enough to rattle the letterboxes..oh and there comes the hail! ETS: Stuck my head out the door and the extremely gusty wind smells salty! I know we are by the salt river but in the 16 years I have lived in this house I have never had that before!

    Beside the river we have bright sunshine. I quite like hail so if it could pop down here that would be lovely. ETA: The teenboy is back from school and he said he had hail when he first came out humphf.

    Good morning - barely! I went out at 9.40am to the car saying it was 5.5 degrees, beautiful blue skies and a blazing sun. Came back at 11.35am to pouring rain and 6 degrees. Think I prefer the first! No more rain pleeease!!!

    Hello and evening all, I haven't posted here since the tidal surge thingymebob although I have been reading each and every day. Thank you all so much for your updates and clear english in explanations. There is a lovely clear sky with so many stars showing both in the Farthing Corner part of Rainham and lower Gillingham and so frosty.

    I just got back from a walk by the Strand and Gillingham Pier. If I was living in the Gillingham areas I would leave. The water had already risen over the top of the berths and was about lapping 5 foot along the path. I didn't stay long at the Strand as the water was rising rapidly and I didn't feel safe.
