  1. Around 15.5 tops in the zone today, so should be no uptick tomorrow. Last 2 days will bump it up a tad, then its all down to the mysterious corrections.
  2. Met office going for 35c@Heathrow on Friday. Think I'll give it a miss, will be full of Netweather members anyway.
  3. Rather obvious that the Met Office contingency planners 'forecast' for this summer is going to be very wrong. Perhaps didn't factor in low solar and la nina.
  4. No heat for the first half of August then. Not surprised.
  5. Portsmouth wont see anywhere near 34c on Friday, having said that north Africa no doubt will...
  6. Looking very likely to be a one day wonder, any warmth swept away in double quick time and with that goes storm potential, shame. Hope I am wrong re storms...
  7. Would be good from a storm perspective if the warmth hangs around longer in the.... South East, where I actually live..... I cant post what may be good for other areas further north, that would be plain daft.
  8. Get ready for the plume, but set your alarm clocks early as not to miss it.
  9. Certainly no heat wave showing, METO updates indicate the same.
  10. Not really helpful in the August CET thread though is it.
  11. There is talk of a hot plume in the MOD thread, things backing west. IMO it will end up a Kent Clipper, with sadly no storms for me. Atlantic too strong thus plume has no chance to sustain for more than a day. Maybe later in the month perhaps, not holding my breath though for this August, who would?
  12. No plume on the GFS, more a glancing swipe for the SE.
  13. GFS not showing any heat for the start of August. Plenty of rain though!
  14. GFS going for a brief plume at the end of summer into August, some storm potential there. Just kidding about summer btw.
  15. I should not have posted in this thread, was an error of judgement.
  16. GFS continues its cool and wet start to August. Consistent it is.
  17. GFS not looking good for the start of August, on the cool side and wet! If its right of course.
  18. Good point! Always advisable to travel hundreds of miles to test ones eyesight..
  19. 100 years maybe a 1000, or never. Who knows. For us here in the UK, its another summer where 40c will not be reached.
  20. Maxed out @24c where I live so it was average. Nice enough though.
  21. Sunny spells with temps around average, nothing to moan about. Apart from no summer storms.
  22. GFS very consistent (has been accurate last few weeks) again showing no heat to end of month.
  23. A better start to the 2nd half of July...suns out! ha.
  24. June had 97MM. Could July beat that and top 100MM?
