Their GPS isn't updating very well.

When is the stream likely to come online?

I detected 1 lightning strike between 12-24 miles and 1 lightning strike between 24-40 miles from Newton Poppleford. But, nothing on the ATD...
-
Any chance of some storms in my area, today?
-
Very strong winds with wind gusts of nearly 40 mph, here. I bet a few trees are down in the area.
-
A torrential downpour just went to the NE, here. Though, no sferics yet.
-
The wind has picked up. But, I think I'm going to have to wait until this afternoon until the high winds start.
-
It is oddly quite with just a 3 mph SSW wind, here.
-
Issued at 11:41 this morning... As Mapantz said "with trees in leaf and many weakened from the winter storms" One to watch in your part of the World
I wouldn't be surprised if the odd tree is uprooted, here.
-
My strike alert lightning detector has detected 1 strike in 24-40 miles and 1 strike in 12-24 miles from Newton Poppleford. I'm hoping they are real strikes.
No lightning strikes detected.

It just shows how localised the thunder storm was.
-
The thunder storm I remember was the Ottery St Mary hail storm of 29/10/2008 to 30/10/2008. The storm lasted for hours with frequent thunder and lightning and torrential rain in Newton Poppleford. However, in Ottery St Mary they didn't just have frequent thunder and lightning and torrential rain. Also, they had several centimeters of hail. It was the worst thunderstorm to hit Devon in several years. But, what was strange is that no thunderstorms were forecast that night.

There was a torrential downpour in Newton Poppleford, about 10 minutes ago. I was surprised there wasn't any thunder with that.

There is torrential rain in Newton Poppleford, at the moment.

GFS 18z brings a somewhat downgrade in the amount of CAPE, however I find the GFS does downgrade in the amount CAPE avaliable on the 0z, so I still believe that there is a very good chance for a few decent storms today.

Hmm, that doesn't look so great. You might be setting your sights a little high. We'll just see what happens. Though, I doubt that anything will happen, here.
-
GFS 18z still keeping with the theme of heavy thundery showers tomorrow, again most potent across central southern England. The place to be tomorrow probably around the Dorset area I think.

Thank god the convection isn't until later. I would not like to have these at school.

Stupid mistake, I meant the NE. Thanks for correcting me, though still no development from the rain band, probably going to end up being a dull light rain band...
As usual. Though, there was a thunderstorm 2 days ago. So, I'm not too sad.
-
The rain band doesn't really seem to be doing much just slowing sliding it's way towards the SW, once this band passes though that's when the heavy showers seem to be coming in and then the real action begins tomorrow.
No it's not sliding away towards the SW, it's moving NE.
-
There is a nice rain band coming up from the SW, now. It's mainly light rain to moderate rain. Hopefully, it may turn to heavy rain. But, it looks like thunder is out of the question, for the time being.

Wow, that looks real good for Devon! Grimsley, can you see that cell, what's the observations on it ?
Quite frequent lightning and nice thunder.

2 more distant rumbles to the NW from Newton Poppleford.
-
3 rumbles of thunder to the NW of Newton Poppleford in the past 30 minutes.
-
I wonder if those showers to the E will get here? Hopefully, they will intensify with a few hours of convection left. Just a lot of cumulus and stratocumulus around, at the moment meaning less convection than if there was no stratocumulus.
-
Clap of thunder heard over Seaton from Newton Poppleford.

For all the storm starved, here is a lovely storm currently going on over Samobor, Croatia. http://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/hrvatska/zagrebacka/samobor/trg-kralja-tomislava.html
