    Well while you lot are enjoying frantic amounts of lightning, continuous thunder and raindrops like oranges I managed to hear my first distant rumble from a storm over Bridgwater, so there. :-)

    Grrr as with last night and every other night it all goes either side. Weymouth band has a definite NNE movement, even the rain is missing us!

    Sunny here in Weston-super-Mud. Very warm, still very humid. What we need is a good storm, arf arf. The outlook for us and Bristle-town looks poor though as all the real stuff seems to pivot round us, much as it did last night.

    Well as expected the action is either east or west of me. Trough moving away so nowt left to do but go to bed. Fingers crossed for tomorrow night maybe. Enjoy those local storms guys! X

    Just had an intense but brief 'chubby rain' spell. Very warm here still, 22 degrees at least. Seems the current outlook will miss us but we shall see what develops. X

    I am a little surprised that the UKMO haven't issued any warnings for tonight into tomorrow. Is this because they have info showing far less damaging conditions than could occur on Saturday? x

    Wow, got rotation within the clouds coming past me. Massive towers appearing towards the Bristol direction looking from Weston sea front as well.

    Well the swarm of showers that were heading this way from Brest seem to be dying over the channel. I don't think we will be seeing any decent weatheriness today sadly. Maybe I should go and do some sort of dance in the park?

    Cell moved from Weston-super-Mare on towards Bristol. Didn't hear any Thunder but did note sferics shown on the storm app not far off.

    Dagnammit. I went out. Had a couple of errr drinks. Got home at half two and my friend texts me at 5am to say "What an epic storm". I slept through the lot! Ho hum. Any chance of a pop up later in the day here as it is muggy as hell, very warm and some lovely clouds about

    Just had 30 minutes of interesting cloud building, most vivid rainbow I have seen in years and the low level clouds are now starting to race to the south west but all radars are showing the rain band heading in from the south east. I cannot believe we haven't had a single flash of CC at the very least. Raining fairly hard too.

    Blue sky appearing now. Lots of piled clouds in every direction except the one leading to me. Ho hum. Maybe we will get a bit of the action appearing over the French coast.

    Well as usual Weston misses out on a storm so far. Some great growing cumulus out there though, just shooting straight up from the angle I am looking.

    Some very impressive video taken by my partner's stepdad of the lightening over the Bristol channel from the hill in Weston-super-Mare. I'll find a link if I can. X

    Checking in from a rather gusty Weston-super-Mare. Pressure just started to rise from 966hPa in the past few minutes. Very noisy out. Lights are flickering and I am staying well out of it with cookies and beer. Stay safe all!

    Here in Weston-super-Mare it had died down a fair bit but seems to have picked up again in the past ten minutes! Had a brief rain shower and the wind now appears as bad as it was at 3pm! Mad.!!

    Pressure drop stopped at 975hPa now. Starting to slowly climb again. Thank goodness. Think part of my roof has run away. Actually no, dropping to 973 now.
