On the radar it's been snowing all along the east until it gets to Norfolk where it suddenly stops. Typical.
Is this due to shift southwards for tomorrow?

Accas here in Norwich, hopefully a sign of good things to come

I believe that is Undulatus Asperatus - a sign of an unstable atmosphere

Not sure if this is live but looks a decent cam at Shoreham near Brighton airport facing North
From Google Earth, it looks like that webcam is facing NNE
EDIT: Realised you just said that anyway, lol

It's kicking off over Eindhoven airport right now
Here's a live webcam. Haven't seen any lightening on it just yet though

It's almost on me now. Epic forks and frequent flickering.
-
Just heard my first rumble. First of many I hope
-
I'm waiting patiently. It's creeping gingerly north.
Sky still just looks hazy. I'm just waiting for the first flickers in the distance.

Heres a live-ish view looking west from Guernsey of the storm moving up across the channel - it refreshes roughly once a second, give or take.

Damn. Looks like a write-off for me. Estofex and Met-Office put me in the risk zone, but all the models show nowt.
I seem to be in the sweet spot for all the storms to just miss me. Always so close but so far, either hugging the coast to my east or exploding over the Midlands to my west.

Snowing here in Catton, it's not exactly light either, and it's settling.

Wind definitely picking up now. I wonder if that squall will make it as far east as me.
-
Still seems relatively calm here at the moment. A little bit breezy, nothing more.

I've been watching the 28/12 on the snow risk forecast for Norwich for a week or so now and it's been alternating between mild/rain and cold/snow with each run, but now the snow chance is it's highest I've seen.
There's just something that confuses me a bit - What do the crosses/ticks next to the snow chance indicate? I can't find any info anywhere....

Being in Norwich, I think it's going to be a damp squib. The models show some pretty heavy CIN all day Friday getting stronger all day and refusing to budge all through Saturday.
So despite projected CAPE of around 700j/kg and lapse rates of around 30℃ it looks like nothing will happen.
Why does mother nature want to kill my soul?

Been kicking off here in Norwich since 12ish.
It's cleared and its sunny atm, which should provide some decent surface heating with the added bonus of being able to see the towering cumulus in all directions.
View to the southeast:
View to the northeast:
The best is still to come according to the forecast.
Currently over 800j/kg CAPE here according to the V4 radar too.
It's getting interesting.

I'm a bit late getting on here to report, but here in Norwich it passed directly overhead.
Some of the heaviest rain I've seen in a few years. Not the most electrically active but it just keeps rumbling on. It's got some fire in its belly. There seemed to be 3 cells that converged overhead.
Wish I'd got a video of the rain.

Just saw a flash here in Norwich.

I'm sat at the N&N Hospital and there's the occasional flake at the moment.
