  1. Pressure has risen from 97 an hour or 2 ago to 97.3.

Good sign I hope. Or maybe it'll just drop again once it comes back around.

I feel like the gusts are longer but apparently the gusts have gone down!

    34mph wind and 54mph gust.

I'm going to try and sleep before our peak time for the wind hits.

Hopefully I'll drop off and not wake up till the worst is out the way (if it happens). But if not, I'll see you all soon!

    Stay safe :)

  2. I'm seriously feeling like it's worse inland for you lot.

I'm in a caravan and it's only shaking a little bit and I would know it if was extremely bad. It sounds terrible for all of you.

Just checked my maps and it looks like there's some big rainclouds heading my way so there's still a chance of worse wind. Wind speed is still only 41mph with 61 gusts though.. Pretty lucky so far

  3. Hi there I have the same problem with my kids and hubby, they never take anything I say seriously, all be it bad rain, snow, wind they never listen. One day they will say you were right. Trouble is unless your specific area does get hit bad they will not listen until that day, all said I find nothing ever gets that bad for Bristol. Probably why the family always poo poo what I say. You stay safe, will be thinking of you. PS: others who come on here get slated by their families for over exaggerating too. LOL

Thank you! You stay safe too. That's the one thing that annoys me, people always think I'm over exaggerating. At least we all understand the risks Also.. I checked my phone app AccuWeather and it's saying that gusts are already 65mph. As the storm will intensify can any of you tell me if it could get much worse than this? I know were preparing for up to 80 but would 100 be likely at all? We are tucked away behind wales slightly so I know that takes away some of the intensity. Just curious!

  4. If i were you i`d be looking to stay somewhere else i.e house with relative to stay. Keep safe.

No one in mine takes it seriously enough. Just all the "we'll be fine" speeches.I'm trying to tell them this is only the start and it'll be way worse but I suppose they'll just have to witness it.We have a house next to us for a quick escape but other than that no option but to stay! Great
  5. Snuggle up and forget it, nought you can do about it. Mother Nature will do what she does and always remember this day is just a mere blip in a long calendar year. Try to enjoy it, easier said than done though and stick with the reports in here and in the dedicated storm thread.

I'll try my hardest.Don't be surprised if you see me on here at 4am giving you all my updates haha!

  6. Well i wish you all the best and stay safe SDM in the caravan during the storm , Fell for you. Its one thing having a holiday in one during a storm but to endure 37 of them that we have had last 2-3 months is no fun im sure!!

    A.T.B

Also to be fair, AWD did put out a few graphics earlier showing the wind will be worse for us in the south compared to Wednesdays storm so credit to him there.

Thanks! I know, it's been a pretty tough time. Considering nothing bad has happend to us so far *touch wood* it should be fine just shaky as usual but I'll be paranoid regardless.

I can't belive there has been 37! That is ridiculous.

I'm just south of Clevedon. I can see that fromhere. It looks black!

Some mean mean looking clouds have been around today

im about 8miles away and can see your very dark sky ,missing here but temp just dropprd .

Well if it rains you know why lol

    The thing about this low tomorrow night is it is currently shown to be a much slower mover and thus we have nearly 18hrs or so of what could be considered, strong winds;

    Greaaat! :(

I'm glad I'm on here as I get way more detailed info from all of you than the general sources I go to.

Oh yeah blue sky is back but I'm not sure for how long now. Still windy.
