  1. Managed 1 last walk in the snow with my dogs this morning. Managed 5 days in a row, 4 of them had snow falling. Only had 1cm imby. But I'm lucky enough to live at the bottom of a 279m (just googled it) hill. So all in all it's not been a bad cold spell for me
  2. Sounds like cold zonality moving forward! Plenty of chances for snow in our region!
  3. Sleeting here all day walked 15 mins up werneth low. Still snowing there but it's not high enough for it to make an impact. Snow still on the ground but some of it has definitely melted since yesterday. Hope it lasts till tomorrow so my boys can go and have another play in it. Here's them today ...
  4. Finally stopped snowing in last 10 mins and turned to drizzle. Now melting all my snow
  5. Just woke up to big fluffy flakes falling outside.
  6. Thanks for replies guys. I just did a month of netweather extra. Thought I might as well give my money to this great website, I practically live on now lol.
  7. What's the best website/app to use for the radar. Don't mind paying?
  8. im north eas of you and just have cloud forcast. hopefully will suprise us all.
  9. Where it says this....(indeed some areas may miss the snow altogether) And if you look at the forecast maps most of the snow go's around East Manchester. I want to be wrong mind..
  10. its started. (im a hairdresser) All the clients coming in saying "were forcast loads of snow" "oh its gunna be bad tonight, thick snow". and i just have to pretend theyre right, when realistically i wont get nothing. im in the weather warning but am forcast grey clouds all night.
  11. Chief forecasters statement in the warning.... Details remain uncertain regarding the extent and amount of snowfall, in particular the northward extent of snowfall into northern England (indeed some areas may miss the snow altogether). Therefore it is likely that this warning will be updated in the light of new information and may be upgraded to Amber should confidence increase sufficiently. In other words some people will get a snowfest, but east Manchester will miss out. Don't be greedy, I have no snow forecast, just dark clouds. JEALOUS!
  12. Apologies if I am being really dumb. But I live on the west of the peaks. And the wind is coming from the south east so it has to pass over them. But the rain/snow is coming in off the Irish see which is mainly lower elevation then I am. As I'm at 150m. And this mixture stops the precip east manc?
  13. I just read on two snow shadow effect will stop East Manchester's snow. NOT AGAIN. But can somebody please tell me what this is?
  14. Still cloudy here, doubt the temp dropped below 0c.
  15. Cloudy here hovering at 0c. Had light flurries earlier. Hope it doesn't end up like Boxing Day when Liverpool had sticking snow and Manchester had wet snow that didn't rly stick. Hope we all get it
  16. Just read something about the snow stalling over Ireland atm, this might not go as planned for us
  17. Bbc weather just looked promising for tomorrow night. Lots of sleet/snow
  18. I have very light snow again right now, not worth having really.
  19. Euro4 has it making progress inland slower. To be fair if the event isn't until tomorrow night the warning doesn't need to be till tomorrow morning. Sure it's only us weather geeks that actually pay attention to them anyway.
  20. 0c -1dew. Wonder if we will get anymore surprise snowfalls before tomorrow evenings event...
  21. Tuesday: Another cold and crisp morning, with plenty of sunshine. However cloud will increase during the day, with outbreaks of sleet and snow likely late in the afternoon and overnight Maximum Temperature 4C. This is taken from the met regional summary maybe they are expecting snow, but just not enough to cause major disruption?
  22. Don't know if this had been shared.... This is the euro4 for midnight tomorrow. Will have to see if the next run is the same.
