Absolutely nothing, except up for those up North, but stalk away by all means.
All good here, ta. Lost the chickens and didn't replace them this time, in favour of a greenhouse. Must be an age thing.
I'm sort of the opposite, gave up my greenhouse and allotment when I moved and now searching for a property where I can keep some chickens and ducks. I admit though that a greenhouse is probably a lot lower maintenance
As long as you haven't given up the beer!

Blimey. Look who's back. Long time, no snow.
Yep, they still haven't fixed Dean Hill, so we still suffer.
Hope all is well btw, CE and that you've moved somewhere snowy and stormy.
Thought I'd stalk the old crew, see what's going down
Thanks j, still work in Hampshire but split my living between Oxford and Sussex, which means I can pick whichever place is likely to be snowier .
Hope you're well!

No rain yet but wind picking up. Flashes seemingly from all directions, revealing momentarily some amazing cloud structures. Am I dreaming? For once this hasn't avoided us and ended up clipping Kent.

Im sat up on devils dyke not to far from where you are and its absolutely unreal from up here!
Just a bit further east near Steyning my dude and it's incredible but still fairly distant (looking west). One of those rare occasions, in this neck of the woods at least, where I don't need to check the radar to see if it's dying because it's letting me know every second that all is well

Been sat north of Worthing watching this move in for a while but it has recently picked up in intensity, occasional clear view of distant CG, accompanied by distant thunder. Air is beautifully still.

Evening all. Anyone any idea on whether these streamers will hit the Petersfield area in East Hants? They look like they're moving our way but I'm sure they'll be light snizzle or totally dissipated by time they're here. I'm not optimistic, based on this pretty crap week out these parts tbh.
Had a light snow shower with proper flakes earlier when I was working outside over Haslemere way, and then on the drive back going SWwards I drove through some light-moderate bigger flakes with very unstable looking convective snow clouds all around me with classic yellow bases. Of course the heavier snow moved Midhurst way right across the S Downs according to the radar....
I'm going to stare at the radar unblinking until they do..
There's even been a slight pepping-up in the last couple of frames.

Think I'm gonna call it a day on any more 'snow' west of the M25. Thames streamer dying fast and not getting much beyond the M25 at all now.
Maybe there'll be some surprises later but doubtful.
Looking across the region, there seems to have been a patch of very low dew points approximately correlating to the dissipating precip south and west of the M25. For example, my temperature is around -0.8, but my DP is around -6. With such a low relative humidity, I guess this could have been inhibiting precipitation from reaching us, however it does look to increase soon to become more confined to the SW, which may help if any showers do encroach later on... by which time they will have died off, knowing our luck!

Settled a tiny bit in Shanklin IoW but stopped now Does anyone know if that’s it for us or will we get a bit more??
Nothing substantial at the moment but there are light showers dotted about and heading in your general direction.
Hope you get something, I have a soft spot for the IOW and particularly Shanklin, I imagine it would look even more lovely in the snow

It is! I’m hoping to put an offer in on a house tomorrow as well as home schooling the kids and work.. but sod it lol!!
ill just wait for one more refresh of the radar
Oh wow! Good luck with that, and if there was ever a period of time recently to use "sod it" this is probably it
Just started again here. As Singularity hinted, perhaps the radar isn't quite reflecting reality.

I really need to sleep, got a manic day tomorrow but I can’t stop watching
Same here Khodds, I actually have to concentrate tomorrow and this isn't helping me get shut eye but it's just too nice to watch!

Another steady flurry, more snowy this time, from a small patch that just popped up. It's dandruff but I do enjoy the random nature of these little events and it's nice timing for it: no melt!

Precipitation looks like it’s picking up a bit across reading way
Quite a few small patches of precip popping up as others fade, it might not be much, but a blob here and a blob there can mean a dusting for someone.
Wind has picked up a bit more here, and the stars keep disappearing then reappearing.
Guessing if that streamer keeps its slight westerly component, Swindon way might get a little bit.

It’s snowing lightly here just north of Waterlooville from that tiny line of precipitation. Nice to see a bit falling even though it’s blowing all over the place.
Just had a 5 minute shower of graupel here just up the road near Petersfield. It's absolutely raw in that wind!

Spotted a massive white flake floating down but unfortunately it turned out to be a feather from a fat pigeon in the trees
There are however some teeny tiny snow grains now floating about, the wind has picked up, and the blue patches of sky are diminished.

Last Sunday managed to get wet snow at 3c, favourable dew points I guess
Yeah same here, my dew point tonight is still pretty high, with humidity at 96%, I think it's just not quite there yet.

Radar return suddenly changed to sleet in my locale, still raining steadily but with the very occasional wet snowflake mixed in. Temp has fallen off a cliff, now 2.8°C DP 1.7, obviously the wrong side of marginal but it's a start.

I only wear CAPE and Lift. I'll send my 0.1cm dusting right your way!
The CAPE crusader?
Funny ol' day here, temperature was up and down by several degrees all day, and when the sun did show up it was pretty warm. Also had a lot of sharp showers and even some hail.
Currently 3.0°C

Heavy... graupel! Now light snow, falling on thick frost, which makes a delightful change from falling on soggy ground.

yes it says rich and chewy in the description but you might add crunchy to that at the moment
I bought the Samuel Smiths beer selection off Amazon which isn't the cheapest way of doing it but I just love their stouts and porters.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
