That big pink blob that's just got off the Thames, no not Boris Johnson! The one on the radar. I've got my eye on that.

Thank you jtay
Lovely pic, I've not been there myself although I have a friend in Farringdon and it's beautiful there. Those snowdrops!
After more sun, the next batch has arrived. It's so much fun! Dew point here approx - 3dgC, temp 0.1.

Well. WELL! For the first time, I can no longer see blue sky at all and it is coming down thick and fast and my garden table already has a covering in just a few short minutes. It is settling and sticking on everything and blowing about. Huge flakes! Am I in heaven?

I am getting no work done. And I'm not even sorry! Radar and window watching and looking at the Meto app is too alluring.
Same here divadee, i'm supposed to be revising for an exam tomorrow which I definitely wasn't hoping would get snowed off..

Still light to moderate flurries here, although the radar is now stuck at 12.05 so i've got no idea what's going on. Not with the weather, just in general.

Radar now showing 11:50 but looks dramatically different to 11:40. Not sure it’s right in what it’s showing.
The 11:50 frame is from yesterday, not sure why it does that but it seems to happen a lot lately.

Looks like those showers to the east are beginning to make it into this region @Climate_Eyes being the first to see them. Hopefully they’ll keep at least some of their intensity. (Not counting @karlos1983 as first as he’s not in our region at the moment. )
I'm sending them on down my friend, with strict instructions to pep up on arrival
Small flakes at present but the sky to my NE is looking pretty murky..

It's just started here
Unexpected and beautiful. The more easterly component definitely helping.

Popped out for half an hour with the radar looking pretty empty, come back and WOW! Few tiny flakes blowing in the breeze and it's clouding up. C'mon!

@jethro your MOD thread poem has me in awe, how long did it take you to do? I can't write poetry for toffee, but really, it's great!

Anyone else slowly fearing they're heading for moderate alcoholism? Every time we've had an awesome run recently i've celebrated with a dram*
Anyway, better get a drink ready for the 18z
*Obviously not for the 00z. I'm not an animal.

That’ll be everyone in here then.
Nah I only note the ones who don't like snow, I think 99% of you in here are safe
Beautiful clear skies tonight, and a lovely fresh feel. I rather enjoyed the last of the warm sun (even had the front door open for a bit this afternoon) but cannot WAIT for the real cold to begin. Bring it on!

Who doesn’t feel like that. Or is it just us weather freaks?
Weirdos! I've met some. I jot their names down in my little black book

Is there any runners on here? I'm currently in training for the Bristol 10K in May, and was wondering how people cope with running in the snow? That's if we get any, I'm fine running in freezing weather, but running with snow underfoot seems like it might be a recipe for a broke leg
I am but i've never had an opportunity to run in the snow. I'd think if it was deeper than just a surface dusting you'd probably be ok, maybe better if you've got some off-road shoes for a bit of extra grip though. Treadmill might be the way to go for a week or two, tedious but better than in plaster

Thanks TWS. Indeed, just had a nice fairly intense few minutes of hail and snow here at around 5C and a DP hovering around 0.
-
Despite the radar looking reasonable, the precip here is very chilly rain with a few flakes mixed in from evaporative cooling in the more intense bursts. Not especially surprising considering the DP is 2.0 dgC.

Buggger me your right!! Light dandruff for the second time today ... I'm in the sweet spot baby! Wet bin tells me it's rain but the newly installed rubbish light just about shows fluff. Flip i'm a gonna be snowed in soon!
Slowed right down here now, by which I mean 50 flakes per minute to 25! -

I'm about to cry for real! Even Portsmouth on the bleedin' sea has snow!
Latest radar grab put the snow a jump west, you must get a flake soon, surely!

Light snow for a short while now, its settling, so light that I can count the individual flakes on my garden furniture

While we’re on the gap of nothingness a small heavier patch is heading straight for @Climate_Eyes
Oddly the radar here has pepped up a bit in the last few frames, but it's just a touch too far east of me. Can confirm there were some nice flakes blowing about when I drove north from Rowlands Castle about 25 minutes ago.

Here on the other side of Hampshire I’ve seen nothing at all. Think yourself luckily.
Oh I am! It's quite something when 25 snowflakes starts to count as exciting enough to report.
I hope you see something soon.

Nice one @matt111
Another flurry now, the wind seems to have picked up a little.
Radar looking like it has pepped up out east just a bit in the last couple of frames, but I might be imagining that (or hoping).
My temp has also finally dropped below zero again. I'd like to keep hold of some of these flakes as it cools, if I can.
