Just been on, could access most areas, I supoose time will tell. Rob what is your site for Scotland? Could do with something fairly reliable - always seems to be a case of stick your head out of the door to find out what the weather is doing rather than than rely on a forecast (unless it's been forcast rain then that's usually accurate!)

Fantastic clear skies here in Barnsley. Got up at 4.15 stayed out for nearly an hour, got a cold bum, sore neck and only 5 sightings, 2 of which were within 30 secs of each other - was this the peak, or did I happen to blink each time there was one!!

Thinking back I'm pretty sure the press reported the Nacreous Cloud and said it was due to ice crystals - would this have happened in summer or is my ailing memory playing tricks on me again?!

Have been lucky enough to see the Northern Lights a few times in NW Scotland, mainly in October, nothing too flash, a green glow and beams of light gently pulsating but also seen Nacreous Cloud once or twice during the last few summers in South Yorks, just wish we could get up to NW Scotland more & at the right time!
