reasonably heavy-ish snow here now but tiny flakes, starting to get some dusting on the garden, bins and chairs

Funny old day, dandruff snow, sleet and drizzle. Then it stopped and now we have sleet again but much better flakes. Bit of breeze.
Funny old day.

woke up to snowy sleety stuff which is laying on cars and roofs and not much else. very light.
wasn't expecting it to be fair.

sorted somethings into the garage to get Christmas underway chez Dami and yeah it's chilly. instructed the hubs that a nice slow cooker dinner would be the order of the day, my favourite kind of food when it gets cold. no rain here at present, just dark.
Do i think it will snow?
I'm in bedford, of course it won't snow.

I can understand some aspects of it all but nowhere near enough at all. I have tried reading up on meteorological phenomena but do find that perhaps not having a grounding in basic physics seems to hamper a better understanding and I soon get lost! All girls church school in the 1970 - physics didn’t seem to be on the curriculum.
i did physics GCSE, got a C. Found it interesting. Teacher thought in was going to fail.

I am struggling to keep up with the pace in there I just hone in to see what specific long time posters are saying when the thread gets so busy, usually posters who always seem to know where they are at with regards to reading the models and translating it into a simple enough language I can follow.
I would love to know what those charts mean but what was interesting to me was them talking about an event which happened late in the 70's on New years eve, I can remember coming out of a panto ( which we did every year when i was young) and coming out to snow. Only happened once and it was always the gold standard, but it never happened again. I am yet to ever see falling snow at christmas (24/25) but can remember snow in kent in the 80's (?)

December is the one month i want snow, one furry Christmas Eve, sorted.
Having a nose in the MAD thread is certainly a roller coaster, for sure.

Not so down beat, but you are the enemy if you want some snow, even if it's winter and i'll be the enemy again in the summer if we have 40c again.

As much as i would love a good whiteout, imagine this. Having to get the snow off your roof because you are worried about the weight of it.

Lovely dark clouds around, shame everything is going round me, no matter where it appears to be headed.
