  1. 1 inch liquid water = 10 inches snow for warm storms 1 inch liquid water = 20 inches snow for cold storms or 25 mm = 25 cm for warm storms 25 mm = 50 cm for cold storms
  2. Just had our first rumbler of the year here in Worcester, the sun is out now but the thunder is still going strong...

  8. Don't think we will see anything here in Worcester tonight but the SE is in for a wonderful light show and hope you all enjoy the show, BBC used the words MASSIVE storms possible for the West Midlands area tomorrow..... :-/ not sure how accurate that is but hopeful :-)

We might be a little to far west here in Worcester for the storms today but we have strong sunshine even though a little hazy and very humid! 24.8c but you never know later this evening, we might i hope catch something after being teased the other night when we could see the sky flickering from lightning 100+ miles away over the south coast.
  10. Just heard a deep boom of thunder coming from the storm near Evesham.... Think this one is moving away sadly.

Hi Roger, thank you for your amazing knowledge and learning new things every day and i'm hopeful to see something tomorrow when i leave Worcester, West Midlands at 8am and drive to Norwich then head back again in the early afternoon. I was just wondering what a "screw zone" is..... Thank you again for your forecasts.
  18. Some clouds now bubbling up over Worcester with a very warm strong breeze and dam it's hot, was looking forward to some storms tonight but no chance really now for us but 92.7f at 6pm.... Last time i remember that was in Darwin, OZ back in 2003.
  19. Just in the middle of a very heavy shower here in Worcester and for 20 seconds we just had some pea sized hail...
