  1. Yep terrible forecast, currently thunderstorms rumbling across Cornwall and a line just south of Exeter.

The yellow warning is clearly positioned over Devon and Cornwall.

So, how is this wrong  :nonono:

The constant Metoffice bashing on here is seriously peeing me off.

Sorry mate but this is the rant thread i appologise futher if u work for them

  2. My mate didnt go to the bristol harbour festival cus of the pathetic warnings made by the met office. He lives in south wales and didnt make the trip cus of bad thunderstorms forecast which didnt happen. What winds people up even more is the lack of a apology. Why is it u never hear a weatherman/woman appolgise when they get the weather forecast so wrong.Take the flooding on the somerset levels the way the bbc were talkin about it at the time the whole of somerset was underwater NOT so.The met office and the bbc are as bad as the daily express for ramping things up.As far as im concerned there a disgrace RANT OVER lol

  3. this summer has a very long way to go before it ranks alongside the great hot summers cited, with a hot spell of about ten days 2014 is miles behind so far.

the crucial , pivotal point will be what happens after this weekend. atm the models are unceratain, some suggest a carrying on with the warm dry sunny anticyclonic regime as the azores high ridges in again... or the azores high doesnt make it and we become dominated by the atlantic lows as per gfs 06z today.

personally ill be pleasantly surprised IF this warm dry settled sunny spell/pattern continues into august. 'writing off august' in terms of a continuation of sun/heat? well as ive pointed out, statistically its unlikely to be hot and sunny. that doesnt mean though that it cannot be 'decent' whatever criteria that holds! im guessing warm but not hot, mainly sunny and mainly dry... yep, thats quite feasible.

My Comment (whys it quoting my own comments )

I think many people are getting carried away just because its been hot for 2 weeks. If i discount the fact i dont like summer anyway for a second.I would say summer 2014 has been average at best.I totally agree with u and thats probably the first comment ive actually read and thought yep hes right lol

  4. It's not unusual to get into the low 20s up until the end of October.. so we have plenty of time to enjoy the heat.. and hopefully storms.. maybe a lightning bolt will melt your satellite  for this comment ;)

lol melt me Satellite u nasty so n so lol

Id have loved to have read the (removed moderated content) but anyway thanks

I know some of my comments might seem like there wind ups but its not suppose to be like that. Its just i will not be forced into liking Summer weather just because others do.Im sure all the winter peeps are still in hibernation and sooner or later i ll find someone that detest the summer rubish like i do.Im my own person i like what i want and do what i want.

Any chance of some heavy showers tonight or tomorrow just 1 pretty please :yahoo:

  6. sorry guys not got time to reply to all replies right now need to jet off back to work. Not a bad day today not exactly sunny which suits me when i travekl to and from work on me bike daily dont want it to hot.Looks like a pretty dry week not bad really considering its the last week of summer.well not officially but i dont class August as a summer month.Anyway i ll reply to replies later when im home

  7. Oh dear, that's a bit depressing. I think we've had an amazing summer so far. Only mid July and we have had several periods of really warm sun, storms (and yes I know some have missed out but generally they have been incredibly widespread) and enough rain to allow the garden to flourish. Still several weeks to go too.

Not really i hate the summer
