Storms and Convective discussion - 1st August 2022 onwards
Glenosnow replied to Supacell's topic in Storms & Severe Weather
Rumbles of thunder incoming 🌩️........3 storms in 4 nights.....being spoilt here -
Afternoon all, currently 13.5°C..RH 97%.....31.50mm precipitation with a rate currently 16.76mm/hrs.....I think it's fair to say its quite heavy right now and looks like plenty more to come. I only wanted the new seeded lawn to have a generous watering......could be a swimming pool if this carries on .

An overnight low of -2.2°C and steadily risen to 2.4°C and slowly rising......dewpoint currently -4.8°C and 60%RH.......No snow even though radar said different.....super dry air evaporated it. Oh well peeps onwards to spring eh......unless we can get one last gasp wintry hurrah......nah....Time to get bbq and firepit ready .

Evening all currently -1.6°C dewpoint -8.5°C with a whiff of a ESE breeze. Oh well what a rubbish cold spell and going out on a whimper....all in all this winter, 2 pathetic dustings and a couple of falls of sleet and wet snow.....very disappointing.....it was nice to have the chase but to end up with what we had might as well had wet n windy swesterlies.......so s*d this winter,on to a nice warm spring.

Evening all, after an overnight low of -1.5°C temp climbed to 2.3°C at around 3pm and now currently back down to -0.9°C.......had a nice little dusting this morning to add to the other paltry efforts so far this winter Quick question to the more knowledgeable peeps on here. Looking at the outlook and possible breakdown at some point.....does anyone think that this breakdown will get pushed back further and further?........... as in the past I've seen cold spells last longer as it takes the Atlantic a few bites of the cherry to make proper inroads....or does anyone think the mild air will win out more quickly? My gut feeling is that cold air is going to hold on.
