Seems to me that the extreme east missed out due to the biting and fresh south easterly that had a dry continental air component evaporating the precipitation. Just got back to London from Eastwood in Essex. Pavements there when I left bone dry. Islington 3cm of snow in untouched areas

Seems to me that the areas that have missed out is due to the biting south easterly wind that seems to have dry continental air. Eastwood, Essex has extremely dry pavements. Back in Islington wet pavements with a good 3cm of snow.

Torrential rain and ts billericay just now

2 storms today. "chased" one from the Basildon area NE to Chelmsford area at circa 13:20 - 13:45. three cgs observed drove through torrential rain. Then in Thundersley at 19:00 had a storm in what can be described as "thundery rain"!

TS at Farringdon (central london) at 17.30-18.00 today. Some lightning observed with thunder. Torrential downpour lasting 10-15mins.

Yes like to verify Paul's assertion there. A thunderbolt in the direction of Hockley Woods in the storm circa 13.00 whilst I was in Rayleigh and then another storm at about 16.15 with cg observed over Southend.

Yes fast moving TS with hail and frequent CG strikes in Central London at 17:00-17:15.

Yes fantastic storm in Thundersley essex this evening easily the best of the year. One terrific bolt with nerve tangling rumble!

A good day today. Was on the edge of the storm that went over West London. Observed on CG and on the way home from the City saw a fantastic CG over London Bridge way.

Bit late now but I observed a TS on Thurs 22 which started a 22:45 and lasted to 23:15 main cell centred over Wickford to Chelmsford. 10 mins intense rainfall with very reduced visibility. Observed half a dozen CGs. Some photos of it soon (hopefully).

Just to add. Yesterday at 12.40 I was in Maldon and experienced the best TS for about 16years! Absolutely torrential rain lasting for 30-40 mins with frequent c-g lightning - one hit a tree at the eastern end of Promenade Park. Roads flooded. Angry looking cells followed heading N-NE. Only shame was I'd gone out for a pleasant afternoon's walk. Ho hum!
