    Had a couple of heavy showers interspersed with a few light flurries since about 11:20. Just a dusting on some parts of the ground and on the grass.

    2010 was the worst, dry as a bone here in LE3. Went to the German market in bham where the snow was about 7 inches. Drove back to Leicester that evening and there was zilch.

    Thats a direct hit fot Notts, bit too north for Leicester

    Neither did Leicester tbh, only got about 2 inches back in Dec whereas everywhere else in Midlands got much more. Leicester hasn't had more than 3 inches since 2012!!

    Just a question, but I don't understand how a few showers that are hit and miss can give significant accumulations and how it's different to any other showers that would come from a NW'ly that would give maybe 2-3cm. Am I missing the fact that its an easterly so the setup is a lot different in terms of shower activity? Thanks ?

    Been raining/sleet/snowing lightly all day here constantly from around 8:45 this morning. Keeps switching from light snow to sleet and vice versa I go to Beauchamp college and I've just finished and its mostly just sleet
