  1. oh yes - i guess there are a few people in london! lol bear with me i am in my final year of a degree and my brain's 'common sense' capacity has been compromised for theorectical knowledge!
  2. also, have you noticed this thread has 5000 more views than other regional threads. i wonder if this is because SE has the biggest chance so biggest anxiety - or because we see it the least so want it the most - or because we are all a bit insane and lonely! lol
  3. i am getting excited, thanks for the streamer explanation Paul S. I hope its the one that hits kent and east sussex - sorry re thundersnow - i witnessed this o the only time I know it appeared in this area since I was born. at that time I did not even know it existed and was rather weird. but oh my goodness when it was thundersnowing i have never seen snow lay so quick. i am getting excited - oh i said that already! i hope it is as it appears it may be... i may even get to use my snowman making kit! I recall the thundersnow erm about 10 years ago - would that be about right? I also remember a sudden significant downpour about 4/5 years ago - or was that thundersnow then. i cant recall but if you can see it its fascinating!
  4. haha damn it, am directly on the black line twixt 10-20/5-10
  5. my husband is having a boys night in with superbowl tomorrow night in the alkham valley near kearsney postcode : ct17 0rq. i am dutied to pick him and his friend - our neighbour - up monday morning at 7-7.30am. i have suggessted he may need a 'contingency plan' as i am travelling from north downs ct18. any ideas on the likelihood of travel being unsafe... or maybe safe until a certain point eg 5am... because i could always go gget them then! ... i will be lampost watching anywaY! just pretty rural spots, with main road interlinking.
  6. haha you must be telepathic! thank you for updating
  7. there was a guy posting on here earlier about his friend who grits roads - he said he was seeing him at 7pm and would update after - did i miss the update because i cannot see one? thanks MW - I realised that and editted to save myself looking too silly haha but thanks ! are you hopeful for this event? more hopeful than the one a week or so ago?
  8. ct188hh lyminge,.. if you want to suggest a quick summary of chances it will be much appreciated - or if anyone wants to offer a prediction ... i have to say last year TEITS was spot on !
  9. turning to rain and slush in afternoon seems standard and makes this event nothing more than normal. i feel disappointed, but sort of expected to have my hopes shot at the last minute - if often happens
  10. i live under you - marked as lYminge - nearer south coast - please not be sleet! we are in a valley though - i hope that makes a difference!
  11. there is still some about some fields still got frozen covering - not much fell but hardly any melted. this morning at 9am in the village where I live, it was still -8 degrees in full sunshine!
  12. Thanks to you all for all your help ! After a miserable Friday 8th! Saturday 9th started a bit worringingly with clouds, then it brigtened at 11am then started getting cloudy again at 2pm (wedding was at 3pm and I panicked) cloud and breaks in cloud where then present on way to church then more blue sky and clouds greeted us leaving the church (saw blue through the windows in the church which was nice) So all in all it was perfect weather, bright but not causing us all to squint, cloudy but not without sun, breezy but just gentle, warm but not hot Pics are here if you're interested http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/5785155 The honeymoon though - 44 degrees in Turkey! Was lovely and what the hell has happened to the weather here?????? Guess I probably got one of the best saturdays in june after all! Hope it improves - my tan is already fading!
