    Go to the Woolley Bridge mini roundabout, turn right and follow the road past the Howdens factory and keep going. Go past next mini roundabout and carry on until you arrive at another 4 way roundabout. You'll see 'The Lamp' pub. Turn right and go up Station Road in Hadfield. You'll see Lambgates on the right. It's the long way round but avoids the steep hills.

    I can remember-15°C in 2010. It froze and broke our water meter. I thawed it out with a hair dryer and water pressure returned to normal. 3 months later when we got our quarterly usage statement, the figures were the same as the day I warmed it up.

    Woke up to a covering rhat filled in the spaces where snow had been disturbed. Ali's car was frozen solid this morning. Doors and door handles had to be gently coaxed to open. Suns trying to shine through the high veil of cloud associated with the low 300 miles away.
