It's dying out in the North Sea, so once this next lot comes through I think that will be it!
As others have said I think there might be a few more showers appearing in the North Sea as the proper cold air now arrives

Now I am not exaggerating here but it’s like a blizzard here the last few minutes visibility is down to less that 100m from my office in Maidstone looking towards blue bell hill

Oh god, thus begins the insanity of anyone going up or down it !
Yep blue bell hill has just disappeared out of sight and our office is about half a mile from the bottom of it

Looking at the radar Maidstone and surrounding areas may get a pasting in the next half hour or so
Also looking over blue bell hill it’s very dark and seems to be heading towards us

Sun is now out! Have had everything today!!

Proper flakes coming down in Maidstone now, forecast is for heavy snow till 5pm I will believe it when I see it but hopefully people will see some stuff settle throughout the day.

Heavy burst in Maidstone for 10 mins but unfortunately it’s all just slushy puddles or wet in most places, hopefully we can get some more thicker and intense stuff later looking at the radar

Sat in the office and Maidstone with a view of blue bell hill and absolutely nothing here apart from the odd rain/sleet shower so far, I think maybe this afternoon might be our best shout! Least I got to see some snowfall in bearsted early hours

Si far it's rain here.
That’s a shame the radar is showing snow showers over Dover a little heavy as well, must not be enough to make it to ground level

My iPhone Met office app is predicting heavy snow here from 9am until midday.
Between Sevenoaks and Maidstone could be the sweet spot this morning, rain has turned to snow here

What's this based on? Not the metO symbols again surely??
No I’ve just seen people mention it elsewhere (not mad thread) and that the temp is still currently rather high

It can only ever be a few flurries. Air pressure is going to be very high tomorrow. Its actually surprising that we will even see flurries given just how far pressure is rising.
I tend to agree I am kind of confused as to why I’ve seen some online (not here) saying kent could see up to 5cm tomorrow

I am starting to get worried tomorrow will be nothing more than a flurry, I am worried about the potential for rain in the morning

Now please don’t all bite my head off when I say this but ….. rain tomorrow morning before any snow? That’s what my Met Office forecast is and nothing for the evening

People were comparing this upcoming spell to 2010 or 1963 or something
Definitely not going to be anything like that, potential for a lot of snow down here though but a highly doubt anything on then levels Shh don’t tell the MAD thread I said that still though could be a big snow in the next two weeks

Think a few of use in the SE mainly Kent and around London could see 1-2cm Monday/Tuesday UKV picking it up which is good and normally under plays how heavy precipitation can be from my experience!! We might see a flake or 2 tonight and tomorrow as well

Fine, I couldn't resist a look.
Seriously starting to think Kent Streamer is possible Thursday/Friday.
I am trying to keep the excitement inside....
Some high res models seem to be hinting at the possibility now

Kent streamer Thursday night/Friday morning you heard it here first

Well we are properly on the cusp now.
The latest model runs still can’t make their mind up for Kent but swathes of the SE are in the firing line!
I think some areas of Kent will at least see showers maybe a dusting, I don’t think there will be to much laying unfortunately ground temps etc but I hope I am wrong

In terms of thickness we have got the best of the day so far here very big flakes now, looks like only a shower but many more behind on the radar! Town centre not bad but the village I live in just outside apparently has a nice covering already
