Was mild this week, ground temperatures are very different to last time. They must have dropped here in Glos, as fine snow is starting to settle. Same should hopefully happen where you are..?
Was thinking that. Still snowing and still not settling

Heavy in Weymouth now but only settling on a few cars. Anyone have a reason why we're not seeing this settle properly?
-
Met says no snow here for now but it's snowing pretty steady in Weymouth
Not settling though with temps around 2c

So heavier precip is not far away. Will it be rain or snow.......?

Sledging done ✅
We haven’t really copped for any of the heavier stuff here yet but no complaints from me even if this ends up being it, a very very decent snowfall from the steady intensity stuff we’ve had so far.
Eased off at the moment and was getting a bit less powdery.
Hopefully the pesky rain stays a few miles off shore.
Pretty decent amounts for us. Meto still saying heavy snow for us until early hours. What do you think?

Now back in Weymouth and looking out the window in amazement. After apparently non stop snow here since mid morning, a combination of the wind and the small, ridiculously dry almost dust like flakes means the garden is far from being covered. Never seen snow like that here. To be fair, I’ve hardly had many occasions of seeing snow here full stop!
Going to be watching that intense channel PPN that a hawk. I don’t want to jinx it, but I will. Looks like it may have Dorset’s name on it. There, now I’ve gone and done it!
I agree with all of what you said! I'm amazed, Weymouth doesn't see snow like this. It's like something like a movie!

Got the same issue. Just do the opposite of what I do and you'll be fine.
Expecting to have to leave work here in Mid Dorset to head back to Weymouth around lunchtime(ish). Will see how long my nerve holds out
Just keep firm tabs on the radar
That's pretty much what I'm doing. Was nice to see the snow in Weymouth this morning ?

Light snow will be somewhere circa 2pm, with heavier snow developing around tea time for our neck of the woods. My advice would be to leave work early. There's no point putting yourself at risk any more than you need to.
Thanks for the advise. Might go home and get out with the kids on the sledge. Let's face it, it might be a while before we see the again!

Question, do we think that the main band is going to still affect southern coastal towns and what time? Wondering if I should leave work early to get home?
