I am snow's biggest fan, but I have never felt so cold for so long. I would love sun on my face and warm sand under my feet........

Saffron Walden Essex: Snowed very lightly last night and continued this morning. Left a very light 'icing sugar' dusting. Not stopped all morning so far and increasing in intensity. Right now it's quite heavy and medium-sized flakes. Now a much heavier dusting, but building up. Superb!

Any of you good people in Lowestoft?? I have to go there this morning from Saffron Walden and wondered what conditions were like? Even if I get there, will I get back early afternoon?? Shovel and blanket in car methinks....

I agree. For us, this has been nothing like the predicted weather. Every time a massive ramping and then..............little or nothing. Max snow depth here at any time this winter less than 2 inches. Plenty of green tops of grass to be seen in the fields at all times here near Saffron Walden. -

Saffron Walden Essex. Been snowing here for an hour and a half. First wet snow , then quickly huge flakes and very heavy and hasn't stopped. Little of the past few days snow has melted and this is really topping it up. -

UNREAL! A day of rain and melting snow has meant huge flooding in the area with many roads closed near here. On top of which I woke up to a good covering of SNOW on top of it all!! Radwinter, Saffron Walden. -

I am at Saffron Walden, so right where Cambs, Herts and Suffolk meet (ish). Rain for me or snow do you think? All the reports seem to be a bit vague about my area...Please put me out my misery - I want more snow! -

Thought I had Thundersnow this morning. Snow and a loud deep rumbling. It was the bin men pulling wheelie bins up the road -

Snowing heavily and settling here, about 1cm at Radwinter, Saffron Walden. 7.30 no snow. 8.02 heavy! -
Timmytour I feel your pain. I feel the same and agree with the 'major event' no-show. And now? Wet and the constant dripping of melting snow outside. It would have been nice to have had this last a couple of days. To walk crisp, moonlit snow fields at night. We had great snow - everything so promising and now it melts and my hopes with it.........

M11 out of London coming north was very white and heavily snowing. At Harlow a gritter had the blade down. In the other direction (south) there was a blower on its way down!!. Road conditions bad on the south side of the M25 on the M11.
