    Hi, I have just arrived back from my holiday home in Oberhof in Germany which is situated in the middle mountains. Although there was not a great deal of snow it was good to see an early snow fall. The attached pics were taken on the 20th October. It is interesting to see the autumn leaves and snow together!

    Good morning! I wonder if anyone can take a guess at the long range forecast for Eastern Germany. I am going to the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof in Thuringia which takes place from the 3 - 7 Jan. There is no snow at the moment and I am really worried it will be cancelled. I am starting to lose sleep over my holiday in a lifetime so any advice on the snow chances greatly received! Allan

    Thanks for the quick reply. Going by the forecast at http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/reports/o...iew/default.asp things look a bit better but I dont know how accurate they are. Fingers crossed!

    Hi there I am driving to the Biathlon world cup in Oberhof, Germany which is on from the 3rd to 7th January. Doesn't seem to be any snow yet and I am getting rerally worried about it being cancelled. Anyone know the chances of any snow soon? Many thanks for the help.

    As well as regular snow showers in Stonehaven just spotted a mini tornado off the coast!!!
