Blizzard in Watford so unexpected! Big flakes coming down steadily but slower than 5 minutes ago. A cm settled at least now, hoping for an inch. Absolutely quality!

Watford: having a light snow shower settled on roof and a bit on grass which has a light dusting already. Yet to be a clear covering, hoping for there to be up to 2cm (1") by the end of the night.

here in Watford we had 2 very heavy showers which lasted about 20 minutes each. The latter stopped about 10 minutes ago. These showers have left a covering on the road, roof and gardens of around 1cm or more. Many light flurries in the day, brought no snow cover and despite the pavements being wet the snow has now frozen on the surfaces. There's still 8 hours left till i wake up and i reckon we will see around 3/4cm so 2 inches. The radar shows consistent heavy bands of snow showers heading west right across the City

in Watford still no lying snow which seems to have hit North London. Only a tiny amount on roofs and slight dusting on the grass. It sounds like there is significant snowfall in the north london suburbs.

light snow flurry here in Watford 10 minutes ago. We will only see accumulations of snow once the metoffice put out their flash weather warnings.
