Liverpool JL Airport had to close earlier due to the heavy snow! That doesn't happen very often!! :w00t: Open again now though in case anyone is booked in.

Oh shame. We were looking forward to taking the dogs out in it tomorrow morning but it sounds like it won't still be here by then.

After 5 hours of snow, most of it heavy, we now have sleet and rain here in South Liverpool but what a lovely surprise it was to see it earlier! Biggest flakes we've seen for years, unexpectedly sticking and building up to over an inch! Hope you all got some of it!

It's an awful time. Glad we could help. Night night.

OT: I figure in a way we are honouring our pets by wanting another one. My husband suffers terribly and resists getting another but I can't bear the empty house. If you get a rescue you are probably saving a life too.

Off Topic: One of ours is a Patterdale cross and she's a little smasher! And she loves the snow! Why not have a look at Merseyside Dog's Home and see what they have on offer? Something totally different might jump out at you... literally!

Right! Here I am back under my usual name having given my real one and Miss M which I thought was my old one.... it's old age creeping in... and not logging on for 10 months every year doesn't help! Thanks for the welcome (back) guys!

Just snowed here near Liverpool Airport for about 8 minutes, went very dark but is now stopping and the sun is out! My first snow of the winter was a welcome sight!

LOL! She's been out playing in it earlier and is resting now! Sometimes she cries when she has to come in! Her foot prints have disappeared now though so that's a good sign!

Here we go! Not a brilliant photo out of the window but gives you an idea of what we're having/ The ground was clear at 7pm.

Stephen, I'm still hoping you catch some of this - keep the faith! Our flakes are smaller now but still coming and the cover is wonderful! I've tried to attach a photo but it's asking me for a URL and I can't remember how to do it!

Oh oh oh! We're getting proper snow at last! Hubby just phoned and said open the curtains and what was an empty garden a couple of hours ago has at least an inch of snow all over it. This is so much better than the snow we've had already this month and the flakes are bigger too. Hope you're all getting it and enjoying it all!

It's snowing again here but it's dandruff again and nowhere near enough to make up for the thaw we've had in the last couple of hours. I think we're right on the edge of the precipitation so we're not getting the heavier stuff.

Same situation here Sparkle. Stopped snowing and snow melting. Hoep this upcoming turn is going to fill int he gaps!

He's probably out playing ithe snow we've had overnight! We've had a light covering on top of the melted snow from yesterday but it's turning to dandruff now. Roads and pavements ae slushy but there is a reasonable covering here.
