  15. summer blizzard Only three days here with Snow lying and only four days with snow falling and one of those was just a few flakes falling from the sky.
  16. Watched the eruption end today however it didn't half do an impressive flow rate of 600 m3/s overall. This time the Svartsengi shows a drop in height of 10cm. This didn't happen on the last eruption. So unless the flow into the chamber has ceased we'd probably waiting a couple of months for the next eruption. The only reason why the barriers worked was because the eruptions were brief and short. A more prolonged eruption would easily overwhelm them as demonstrated in earlier eruptions.

  21. Amazing how fast it was flowing. The eruption also probably indicates that previous lava fields weren't erupted in one go but with many small eruptions over time,
  22. Has this been implemented yet? Still logging in the old way.
  23. It's not me driving or taking the video but this some of the senseless driving you have to put up with. Video_20240208_172453_993.mp4
  24. matty40s Which raises the question why did they re-open it. They got away with it today. The funny thing about the barriers they stopped at the road. Clearly they though Lava wouldn't use the road. Eruption already dying down a lot.
  25. A big drop today down to 7.2C +2.7C above normal. Rainfall unchanged. Another big drop for today then probably a slow fall over the next five days.
