So far everything staying to the south and south west, can't see anything really significant for most of Norfolk unless things happen on the NE edge. Still, new StrikeAlert is having a mini-workout!
Looks ok around Thetford and Swaffham area though so not all bad certainly better than Essex anyway

Elevated probably. Or at least not the kind of lightning you’ll be able to see against the dark cloud base - not until a little later on anyway.
You’ll probably be able to hear it though. Been a bit of a blight for the south over the last few days but later today and tomorrow hopefully a return to more typical UK storm conditions and conducive to something a little more visual.
Fingers crossed...
I'm afraid it's always "tomorrow" down here in the SE as has been promised all this week.In my opinion it will either be today/tonight or not at all

Sorry for late reply:Should have washed all the horse poo off the roads though maybe?

Humid but only 21c here no sun all day but a few showers earlier, feels more like early November light wise though as very dull with light fading already, what breeze there was has now gone.
-
Lots of rain now and thunder nearby and about time too
-
Bit of a decent cloud to the North but nothing to support any development near by
-
Everything seems to be dissipating now though everywhere

Nothing happening in this bit of Kent, lovely sunshine aside of course.

Sat24 suggesting some lumpy cloud developing along the N Kent coast/Thames Estuary. Difficult to tell whether that’s just crud or something more interesting. Couple of light blue specs showing on radar.
Can only see high base cirrus from here at the moment

SSW,W of London game on,anything remotely E,SE,NE Then nothing doing at the moment
-
There seems to be a weakness in the atmosphere in the channel by Southampton at a guess with everything spinning around it so I wouldn't hold out much hope as it seems to be spinning ever eastwards drawing in an easterly flow around us so things are building to the south
-
Sadly not, nothing doing here this evening/tonight

I'm a fan of The Old Windmill in South Hanningfield, I have missed my lunches there so much! Can't wait to go back (I'm still staying home).
Watching those storms over North Wales is making me quite jealous. I sometimes go to a music festival in Portmeirion and what I would give to watch a storm over the bay there. It would be stunning.
Had some lovely lunches here myself, can't fault it apart from road closures due to power cuts recently.Anyway back on topic may have to wait until wed/thurs for storms here.
