  1. Sleet/snow for parts of Grampian and the Highlands New years eve/day. Forecast, as it stand, for the start of next week is for wet and windy weather for the same areas.
  2. BBC weather mentioning " a chance of colder weather" for next week with the most likely outcome being a continuation of the weather type we have at present.
  3. The rain that has fallen for most of the day changed unexpectedly to snow from 8pm onwards. Couple of centimeters lying at present.
  4. Certainly a white christmas up at Cairngorm this morning.
  5. Pleasant surprise this morning, awoke to snow covered hills around the house. Not quite a proper white Christmas, but given the stop start nature of winter so far, it will do.
  6. Cairngorm starting to look the part, more heavy snow forecast for the next couple of days. Fingers crossed!
  7. Not looking good for the Xmas/New Year period, Ski club GB update makes for painful reading.
  8. Fair bit of snow through the night, few centimeters still lying. Not a bad winter so far if you enjoy snow and cold up this part of the world.
  9. Thursday's trip to Avoriaz cancelled due to poor conditions/outlook.
  10. It's snowed during the previous two weekends in my area and further snow is being forecast for this weekend.
  11. Snow started Friday afternoon with the heaviest snowfall Saturday evening which resulted in a temporary power cut. 5cm deep first thing this morning, gradually thawing through the day.
  12. Very encouraging weather over the last few days. First boarding trip of the season planned in just over a fortnights time, Avoriaz, cannot wait!!
