    lookin at the radar there is a bulge in front of the main band (light precip) so hopefully that will give manchester a lil bit more..cos it is heading in this general direction

    haha i thought exact the same thing...lookin at how it is moving at the mo i would say many areas have a great chance...i wouldnt rate west midlands as the BEST

    ah i see..cheers for that...so i take it it is raining there is it?with it moving so quick in warmer air..its not exactly far from me now lol...cool so that band of precip now over ireland is still gonna be lingering around tomorrow ? that really is slow considering its only 100 or so miles away now.thanks for the clarification

    i recall people saying the further north it went, the worse it would be in the long run.is this not the case now?things are still looking cold on fri, whereas it was originally thought it would be rain..on the radar now is the precip belt that is moving into ireland and cornwall associated with the upcoming event?it is moving fairly quick at the mo cheers ben

    for a few hours we had an extremely intense storm...about 4pm to 7.it was amazing,with CG approx every ten seconds.even my parents had never seen anything quite like it.What a show, i doubt i will see anything like that again...seriously though, there wasnt any silence for about 3 hrs.just constand thunder

    sheet lightning to the south east of rochdale..as indicated by the white blob on the 17.30 met office radar.nothing showing on lightning detectors

    is this proven?i have only ever seen on net-weather that this is the case..just been looking on google and found nothin..can anybody please kindly tell me of any links so i can read up on it.

    was snowing at 3am last night when i was coming home from the clubs,and it has just started now with a light shower.overcast sky for the last few hours have finally provided a few flakes.no covering though

    very fine snow giving a coating on cars,blizzard ish conditions,rather unexpected considering what the radar shows coming over the sea.

    i hope it makes it inland to rochdale.we are higher up so it might be better. but i can't imagine it will get here...relatively clear skies but the wind has picked up again.
