Currently -0.9°C after a beautiful day here with not a single cloud in the sky!
Looks to be pretty benign for the next week thankfully. Hopefully a chance for the ground to dry out but I can't help frantically scanning the models for the next chase lol!

Really howling outside now and strongest gusts not yet reached us. MO has updated to say 2am will be the peak now (for my location) before falling away rapidly.
Hi, where do I find the met office update re peak for location?

This Winter for us in the SE may go down as the one that got away in regards Snow.
Twice things were looking really good, only to fail for many of us at the final hurdle.
I've not even seen a decent Thunderstorm for two years+
Let's hope it's 3rd time lucky!

Does anyone else feel a bit lost without a "chase"
Sadly looks to be quite a while before our chances improve. Think I read somewhere that a ssw has occurred? Maybe thar will help us out....in the mean time, I'm dreading the winds sun/Mon. I used to love hearing the wind roaring outside but since we've finished our self build, think "cabin in the woods" I get terrified as we're surrounded by trees!

I take it your in Bodle street green at the moment not Norfolk. Your within the envelope of the most recent updates, if the PPN does indeed make landfall, your location being inland at 60m asl is going to be an advantage maybe compared to us on the coast should things turn a bit marginal down here. Fingers crossed.
Thanks Snowray, fingers crossed for us all!
Temp has now risen from -3.2°C to 1.3°C! Wonder if that's cloud cover? My mum always says temp rises when it's going to snow!

We've had a power outage here since 11am so I'm relying on you guys to keep me updated please! Daren't use my phone to look at the charts/radar as my battery nearly gone. Will pop in quickly to see what's occurring. (Hopefully a wall of snow and that system pushing 100 miles north! )

-6.1°C here at 8.30am! Now -5.3°C at 9.15. Very white and crunchy out! If only that low would come north....ground perfect to take falling snow "sigh"

-4.8°C here since 10.45pm, how low can we go??
Gutted our snow chances have sunk south, I'm still hoping for a correction north but unlikely sadly.

Meanwhile, another EVENT is coming next week. What -- another one!
Is it going to be any good for snow for us though? Northerlies aren't usually great for us down here

BBC forecast now mentioning settling snow even at low levels in the SE on latest forecasts with Helen Willets I notice!
What heights are suggested as low levels? Something I've always wondered! Obviously elevation is always a huge benefit but is there a cut off point for heights?

Where's the best place to see DP's for a location please?

Merry Christmas all!
Here's to a cold white new year!

Snowing lightly in Bodle Street! Looking at the radar I'm expecting it to turn to rain though.

Thunder and lightening in Stalham with torrential rain. Had heavy rain ALL night last night too and winds very gusty from about 5am. Noisy out on the river on the boat
