  1. Looks like Evening Thunder was the winner, as the only person to get 12.5 spot on
  2. It's conceivable if maximum temperatures hit 30+ for a week or so near the end of the month, similar to what happened in Jun/Jul 76 (CET of 23.1 over 12 days). From what I can tell, there is a good chance of high pressure bringing a warm start to the month. If the first half averages around 18C (e.g. max 24 min 12) then I think 20.5 or something close to it could happen. It does sound high, but then I don't think many would have taken seriously an advance prediction of 9.7 for last December.
  3. I like the thinking. We are well overdue an exceptionally hot June.
  4. From 1966 onwards, Junes ending in a 6 have averaged a CET of 15.5 1966 15.4 1976 17.0 Warmest June of the last century 1986 14.8 1996 14.4 2006 15.9 Warmest June of the last ten years In addition, Junes 1826 (17.3), 1836 (15.3), and 1846 (18.2) had an average CET of 16.9 The first 3 recorded Junes that ended in a 6: 1666 (15), 1676 (18), and 1686 (15.5) had an average CET of 16.2 Of the 35 Junes that have ended in a 6, 22 of them (63%) have been equal to or above the overall 1659-2015 CET average of 14.3 At the other end of the scale the coolest June to end in a 6 was 100 years ago in 1916 with a CET of 11.8 and the second coolest was 200 years ago in 1816 at 12.8
