  3. Still thunder and lightning here, another storm overhead as I type. It started about 8pm last night and hasnt stopped since. Almost 9 hours and still counting !
  4. Same here, Quite frequent lightning but thunder barely audible.
  5. Really ? Had lightning visible here since about 8pm last night and still continuing.
  6. Apologies for being slightly off topic ( whilst still watching the distant lightning outside ), can anyone advise this technophobe how I can post photo's directly from my smartphone to this or any other NW forum please ?
  7. I might see you down there then. I moved down here last year after numerous visits over the years and you are right about this quite often being a favourable location in such set ups.
  8. Just in case anymore should come this way.....Hastings live webcam http://www.beaming.biz/company/hastings-pier-webcam/
  9. To be honest it was fairly sporadic and nothing like some of the storms other areas have seen this week and I have seen better down here already this year. Musn't grumble though, I was just pleased to eventually get something.
  10. As someone who is right underneath it I think you may be overstating it a bit !
  11. Thunderstorm overhead here in St Leonards-on-Sea, heavy rain for a while but eased off quite quickly.
  12. Thunderstorm now overhead here in St Leonards, at last we have joined the party.
  13. Distant thunder audible here in St Leonards -on -Sea from that Eastbourne thunderstorm. Skies here are looking very stormy.
  14. Frequent sferics and loud rumbling thunder from that cell just to north west of me in St Leonards-on-Sea
  15. Thunder now here in St Leonards-on-Sea, looks quite a potent little cell looking at the radar
  16. I have never heard it called that to be honest but it does come under Harrow.
  17. If I were you I would head just 4 and 1/2 miles down the road to a place called Grims Dyke/ Old Redding. It has extensive views to the south as far as the North Downs of Surrey. It would be an ideal spot for watching the storms which appear to be heading ing up from the south at the moment. I used to live locally and would often head there to watch storms.
