Not enthused by the outlook going forward. Just some brief dry spells in-between rain and temps mid to high teens. Obviously though with all the chopping and changing with the models lately we could be seeing an Azores high ridge over us in the output from tomorrow. Still early days and some of the best summers didn't get going until a bit later, 1995 a prime example after most of June being cool. But don't we say the same thing about winter? ......."It's only November" haha. Not that I want a roasting hot summer but I much prefer an Azores influenced one with sunny warm days compared to the stifling heat of a plume. Good job the latter are short lived though.

Crazy how it doesn't look much at all on the radar but we've had a soaking drizzle for the past few hours. Not pleasant at all out there.

Scorcher most people back in winter coats and for once it's justified. I have a snood on and I don't feel warm with it on at all so just shows how poor it is today. I thought I had put it away until October.

Absolutely hammering it down out there. Like the Pacific NW of America climate

Looks very wet until at least 3 or 4am. So a good 12-13 hours more of this 🫨. No doubt if we get a couple of dry hot weeks they will be saying we are under a hosepipe ban lol. Especially given Pennine reservoirs are actually a bit below average. Either it's overconsumption or leaks all over the network because we've had more than our fair share of rain.

Josh Rubio we're used to rain on the west side of the Pennines but this looks wet for my area to say the least. The persistence of it too.

A Face like Thunder you travel to Yorkshire a lot have you got a caravan there? I do like Scarborough myself.

In Absence of True Seasons I'd rather have the climate of Barcelona compared to say Seville or Cordoba.

Isn't it funny or not so funny how after a decent dry period the month could end up with above average rainfall after tomorrow and possibly Thurs. Always seems to find a way the rain doesn't it? Snow though and bar 2018 it's done a disappearing act since 2013.

Cheshire Freeze weather systems don't seem to move through quickly now do they? So we seem to be getting these high totals on a more regular basis I've noticed.

As others say tomorrow looking pretty wet to say the least and a big u-turn in the short range. Tomorrow didn't look that wet this time yesterday. Even the TV forecasts said we would be ok in the west. Now we have a warning.

Living room almost done. 18ft long wall on one side . I'm going to be aching tomorrow but will do the rest then as I've ran out of paint. Going to have a late tea now.

severe snowstorm I'd feel tipsy after only one broadside as I'm not used to drinking lol. Can go weeks without mostly because I can't afford it now as like most things nowadays it's not cheap to do it regularly. Do enjoy it though when I do indulge, you have to now and again or you'd go mad

Metwatch just a t-shirt and nothing else? That would attract attention at any time of year

carinthian I find the far south of south America interesting. Places like Ushuaia in Argentina can get some really interesting winter weather. At 54.4°s it's the most southern city in the world. About the equivalent as being as far north as the Lake District if I'm not mistaken. It's often an overlooked city and the surrounding area has spectacular scenery. Mountains, glaciers, forests etc. Probably a great place to live. And fresh air! Unheard of in Manchester.

Frigid never a dull moment up there it seems. Extreme cold, lots of brutal Atlantic storms and now this.

Not a terrible outlook at all. For me it's perfect nothing excessively hot which most people don't want anyway unless you have air con but just nice and warm. And the best part is accumulated rainfall looks ok. This is the GFS which often overestimates it so could be even drier but this is way better than the dark oranges/browns we were used to seeing over the past 10-11 months at every model run!

Scorcher No notable easterly breeze, therefore no rain shadow effect in play. Needs to be over 15mph to see this in action.

After a bright start the inevitable rain had to arrive like a magnet to this area. Not a great afternoon but at least there's no wind with it nor is it chilly. More nuisance value than anything else. Still looks good this weekend more so Sunday. Going to sunbathe!

As others say not the best of days but at least it's felt very mild and there's nothing all that chilly on the horizon, not totally dry but no Atlantic onslaught either certainly nothing compared to the below average temps we had a a couple plus weeks back too. Looking at the models we might have a nice weekend on the way could get up to 20c with sunny spells. That will feel nice in the strong May sun. It's been so nice to put the winter coat away for at least a while.

Joe Snow Just glad I have a bit of colour after some recent sun and warmth. I was looking like Casper the ghost not so long ago because as you say we had a poor second half of summer last year, so it's been a long wait to feel the strong sun on your skin.
