Heavy snow here now in Mickleover Derby. Settling rapidly.

Icy heavy rain started here in Mickleover Derby about 10 minutes ago. Hopefully it turns to snow soon.

Heavy snow for the last hour an half here in Mickleover Derby. Had a good couple of inches but most of that settled in the last couple of hours. Hoping it doesn’t turn to rain later as we have had a good covering.

Snowing well in south derby at the moment but wet snow and melting as soon as it hits the ground.

Glad all the Midlands got snow. Nice few hours in the hills sledging and enjoying a nice snow walk with the family. To the one dude concerned earlier I went with family and stayed in my family bubble and avoided people.
Looks like its coming back down to leave a few more cms widely across the mids might push me close to a wopping 15cms.
Models are hinting at a repeat performance next weekend also lol.
Make the most of it guys and girls especially in these tough times we deserve some Joy with our family and nothing better than making a snowman or sledging.

We have had 17cm here in south west derby. Had a great day, didn’t look like we was going to get any before midday then finally started snowing around midday. First hour was wet snow and didn’t settle much then about 1.30pm the blizzards started and never stopped since. Best snow we have had for a while. Didn’t expect this much today. It’s coming down heavier again now.

Yes, we have about 8cm now in south west Derby.

Nothing here in South Derbyshire. The Radar is showing it as been snowing here since 08.50am.

Hi mate. I live in Burton. By the looks of it well miss the worse. Some light snow at best but looks very patchy.

Overnight runs have moved the snow south of me tomorrow but the local radio forecast going for up to 20cm across the Peak District so who knows.
My weather app has upgraded snow amounts too.
What app do you use for snow amounts please? It's sunny here in Burton too but the radar shows an eastwrds shift in the streamer today and looks like we stand a better chance over the Nw mids.
