  1. Ecm says no! Different evolution as mild southerlys move up Christmas day. Uncertain outlook, but if any model looks isolated it's the gfs
  2. At 144hrs the ecm manages a half way house between ukmo and gfs. Not too bad but not great either!
  3. Jma looks closer to ukmo at 132hrs. The gfs looks a little on its own though icon is similar
  4. This time last year such a slack flow from the North would barely have delivered minus 5 uppers. But because of the last cold spell being so severe sea temps have dropped quite a bit meaning the much colder uppers are able to flood South
  5. The GEM isn't great and the ukmo is poorer than this morning. So for me it's a move sideways and nothing is resolved. The gfs is better and the best way forward but needs support!
  6. Isn't it strange how we have very few Scottish members. Maybe they just get it every year so it's no big deal. It does look like a white one there
  7. They are like chalk and cheese, primarily because of the artic high!! At an early timeframe aswell
  8. Yes we have seen this before many a time and there's no quick fix out of that!!
  9. Instead of a snowfest it's a snoozefest As Crew mentioned earlier the blocking is only a toppler really!
  10. Looks a much poorer run to me with the Christmas day low just revolving around and not clearing!!
  11. Indeed Crewe and we were staring at a big orange blob 10 days ago that was going to knock out the vortex for January. Why should it be correct now? I think the charts for Christmas period are upgrading hour by hour and a white one is quite possible
  12. What is going on with ecm, top of its ensembles almost every night. What with the upgraded gfs performing poorly we seem to be gone backwards with these models of late!!
  13. Doesn't make it on this one but some really cold air to our North. For now potential remains!
  14. Improved at 144hrs, continuing the positive trends of the afternoon!
  15. The main trend this evening for me is stronger heights over Greenland and to our North which helps nudge everything further South. We are not there yet but certainly going in the right direction!! The situation is ripe with potential!
  16. Gem looking good also as we nudge towards Christmas day. For now trends, and they are good!
  17. Tell her your just checking out the latest models!! Icon now up and running
  18. This evenings runs are it really for the big day as we nudge towards the 7 day reliable mark. Can Santa save Christmas lol
  19. Awesome 168 ukmo!! A Northerly moving in Christmas Eve with very cold uppers. Great trends this morning
