  1. Local station in Uxbridge, West London, reporting 28.7 c already at 9.50 am
  2. It's going to be a scorcher! 24.5 c at 8.30 am. Looks to be a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, hopefully they move through early and quickly so we can have one last hot day before it cools down slightly.
  3. Beautiful day! Summer days in the UK are a lot more bearable when you get to work from home. 28.7c according to my closest weather station. Maybe a degree or two hotter in the next few days but this is perfect.
  4. Will be interesting to see how hot it gets today, GFS says 26 and the BBC are saying 28. I remember last week there seemed to be a few in the model thread saying they couldn't see any heat whatsoever last week!
  5. Forecast looks beautiful, better than the utter dross we had last week. 34 c doesn't look completely out of the question. Sun cream at the ready and beers in the fridge!
  6. Another thoroughly wet and miserable day, looks like it's finally clearing and there's blue sky and sunshine behind it! Maximum of 15 c so far but I imagine that'll shoot up rapidly once the sun comes through. The sooner these weak storms and wet weather clear the better, high 20s, even into the 30s for next week will be very welcome!
  7. Horrid weather, sooner these weak thunderstorms are over the better! Next week looks like we could get back to some proper summer weather.
  8. Local (unofficial) station had us at 26c yesterday, was lovely in the sun. Hopefully these storms stay away, as much as I like them, I prefer some decent sunny weather.
  9. Is it me or is it bloody humid today? Been much warmer temperature wise recently but today's the first day I've really felt it.
  10. Another lovely day, local weather station had us at 27.9c yesterday and we're at 27.4c today. Quite glad the storms never materialised!
  11. Looks exciting for those north of London, another miserable and wet morning elsewhere unfortunately.
  12. Not an expert at looking at the charts but it doesn't seem completely unreasonable that some in the SE will see some sleet and snow tonight, higher ground most likely but certainly a chance.
  13. Certainly seems more intense than last week's storm here in Uxbridge!
  14. Quite windy out West London way but fortunately nothing too bad at the moment. I'm sure we've had worse with less warnings and media attention in the past, that said, it does look like it could get interesting a bit later.
  15. Had to crank open the windows during the night, it was that warm. My commute beings at 6.45 am so whilst it's wet, at least I'm not freezing my backside off.
  16. Amber warning out for parts of the SE. Think I'll get out of central London a bit earlier than planned I think, trains are bad enough as it is.
  17. The rain just hasn't stopped today - absolutely hammering it down again, thundering as well - it seems a few of the drains were struggling this morning, no idea what it's like now. Edit: Now lightening Going to be a pretty nasty commute back from Central for some tonight I think!
  18. Absolutely biblical rain coming into central London this morning, a real sock drencher - few cracks of thunder overhead but nothing too exciting.
  19. Sweltering in London today but considering it could be the last hot day of the year I'll take it. Glad the storms stayed away so we get another nice evening!
  20. Just looking at the radar and boy am i jealous of what's coming in to effect parts of East London and East of that. Looks like it could be an incredible evening. Local weather station still showing 33c here in West London, clear skies too!
  21. Sun's back out and still 33c. Hopefully it kicks off a bit later.
