I've recently downloaded a new weather app on my phone (Windy) and it allows you to select the from 4 different forecast models.
ECMWF 9kmGFS 22km
NEMS 4-12km
ICON-EU 6km
Which do you find to be most reliable. The ICON forecast for Chester for Saturday evening is lots and lots of snow (this is the only model showing this). ECMWF is showing very light snow on Saturday morning with the other two showing just rain.
Any thoughts? -

The grass is now definitely white outside my office window and the skies are very dark.
Intrigued to see that the "Will it snow" part of this website is showing 0% chance of snow.......

Doesn't seem to be too bad here in Altrincham. Wet and windy but nothing I'd classify as overly unusual.

After the chaos of the 2014 storm where the roof of Warrington Central station was damaged and trains were cancelled, I can't say i'm looking forward to crossing the Thelwall Viaduct tomorrow morning......

Hi @Darren Bown,
It was indeed, there was structural damage to the roof of Warrington Central station. The transport network went into meltdown.

Very dark in Altrincham and the sky looks full of snow. Just needs to start falling!!
Although saying that I've got the Thelwall Viaduct to contend with in an hour.........
-
Dark skies just eager to drop the white stuff over Altrincham.
Hopes are not high that anything will actually fall though....

You've got to love Nathan Rao. One day he might be almost close to being accurate!!!

Looks like there was hail overnight in Warrington followed by rain and then it's all frozen.
Such a disappointment.....

Very dark cloud but not raining in Altrincham.
Fingers and everything else crossed that the white stuff is on its way

A few flakes of very wet snow mixed in with pouring rain in Broadheath (Altrincham)
