  1. Very mild, dull day, with bits of rain and drizzle on and off.

Short very heavy burst went through 1630ish, and torrential downpours between 1950 and 2015.

    Min: 2.4c @ 1930 yesterday.

    Max: 13.0c @1300.

    Yesterdays rain: 1.5mm.

    Currently: 8.2c

    Pressure: 994 mbar, falling slowly.

    10.2mm since 0900, 6mm in 30 minutes to 2015.

  2. Clear , severe frost early night.

Min: -5.9c @ 0200 was the lowest since 21st March (the first day of spring was cold at -6.4c!)

Little drop of rain earlier this morning gave 0.3mm.

    Currently: Dry, cloudy, warming quickly.

    Temp: 4.5c

    Presure: 1024 mbar, falling

  3. Clear and frosty last night.

    Min: -1.5c

    Yesterdays rain: 1.8mm

Unbroken sunshine today, lovely but pretty cold.

    Max just: 4.9c.

    Shade frost persisted all day!

Clear, bitter evening, already the lowest min of the season to date.

    Current Temp: -4.5c.

    Pressure: 1031 mbar, steady.

  4. I just thought its got to be wrong!

Nothing drastic on the radar; most of the 122mm supposed to have fallen in the 6 hours to midnight; no reports of flooding in the vicinity (at least not on BBC SW Wales); other stations in south and west Wales reported modest falls of below 20mm (including my own).

Would just appreciate some input or ideas of others on this, as if its an error, it then casts doubt on the 'official stations' we take for granted of being correct?

Matter resolved having emailed MO :D

    They replied very quickly:

    "

Thank your for your recent email.

I have checked with our service team and you are correct, the figure is erroneous.

We were experiencing problems with our rainfall equipment at Milford Haven - As a result, a rainfall reading taken at 0100hrs, indicated 88mm! Throughout the day, the rainfall was in actual fact relatively light, with 5.8mm recorded.

I hope this helps answer your question.

Thank you for taking the time to point this out."

  6. Clear intervals led to a surprising ground frost early this morning.

    Min: 0.4c.

Sunny intervals to 1100, then overcast, with intermittent light rain and drizzle since 1400.

    Windy pm.

    Max: 9.8c.

The heavy rain looms just to the west.

Currently: 6.6c, windy with light rain.

Pressure: 1012mbar and falling (-15mbar since yesterday evening).

    2mm rain today.
