Had a base of 2 inch max on grass before today, now at 5/6 inches
Looks like Shrewsbury has done well today. Better than me to the west of you. I think i have prob had about 2 inches today, as i have been on the western edge of the precipitation really. my dad has been to Shrewsbury tonight and then back home through Oswestry. he said the roads were much worse around Shrewsbury than Oswestry, and that Oswestry had not had as much as you guys in Shrews

Snow getting lighter here now in Northeast Powys. looks like the heaviest burst have been passing to my east over Shrewsbury, heading over Oswestry and Wrexham.
stil done better than i expected. lets hope it doesnt thaw tomorrow!

lol....not even trying the hills round here...not in my little honda civic...it feels like its on skis when there is snow on the road!
The snow here looks to be fizzling out a bit as it starts to push to the north now....lets see what tuesday brings!

Hi all,
It has been snowing here in Northeast Powys since about 10:30am, but it didnt stick until 16:00pm-ish. in fact the snow was thawing all day with temps marginally above zero. The thaw was quite savage here yesterday too!
The snow was really wet, but seems much drier since the temp had dropped below zero, stil not quite as dry and fluffy as fridays snow though.
stil has topped us up another few centimeters since 16:00pm, and stil snowing

I am looking at the NAE for precip regarding tuesday. It had this one nailed from a few days ago, and i thought it modelled fridays event very well too.
