  1. That was amazing. The closest to lightning i've ever been....this was Warlingham area (Just oustide Croydon)...
  2. No photos from me this time. A shame as it started in Croydon, which is coincidentally where i live. But by the time i was ready i'd missed it and would have to head east on the M25 during the peak. Next time.
  3. For me, the daytime ones offer extra photographic challenges so make the chasing worthwhile which can lead to all sorts of funny stories. Night shots are fairly easy to sort out but the day ones require work - finding a great spot to get cloud formations (if your close to them they usually look rather murky in the UK), as well as the strike itself which can be hard to snap if you don't have some detector rig.
  4. Here's the one that didn't get away. Taken at Crawley, West Sussex.
  5. Once this heat settles in, is there any chance of triggers in the SE?
  6. Well Croydon, where i actually live, got completely missed. I slept through any rumbles this morning. I've got a night turn tomorrow which means a late Saturday night. Quite prepared to drive out tonight if anything produces overnight, plus no bank holiday traffic! Thats the problem with this weekend - the motorways are going to be packed.
  7. Out testing "glass" in Sussex earlier this week. No storms but some nice Clouds in (Crawley) Sussex...
