  1. Hinckley is hovering around 30 degrees now. Towers started going up. This looks promising to be honest
  2. I’m sure somethings going to bang in the next hour, never ever seen towers build so quickly.
  3. Now raining here! Wish I’d timelapsed how quickly this all happened
  4. Towers going up now. Edit: literally doubled in size in about two minutes!
  5. Lots of cloud starting to build in Hinckley in every direction. From acas to this in about 15 minutes
  6. Agree, tomorrow is looking quite promising for large parts of the UK to see some decent organized storms, and depending on how quickly the fronts move through, we could actually see some rotation (unlikely, but possible)
  7. we have had a biblical storm in Hinckley. The rain was incredible and left quite a few areas flooded, lots of CG lightning. 3 days in a row of amazing storms and each day offering something different. To be honest we are fairly blessed in this area with storms, something about Hinckley that seems to attract extreme weather and thunder storms.
  8. if the loudness of this Thunder is anything to go by, we are going to get some really quite severe widespread storms today. In Hinckley and the storm is probably a good few miles away.... but the thunder is incredibly loud.
  9. looks like Hinckley in Leicestershire is about to get walloped again... Thunder starting and rain on leading edge of approaching storm.
  10. I’m right under it. It’s a beauty. Constant lightning. Very slow moving, been going a good half an hour now
  11. Big storm directly over Hinckley right now. Frequent lightning quite scary tbh
  12. Agree, risk has definitely shifted east, or more likely, expanded East rather than shifted.
  13. loooooooooooooonggggg time lurker, first time poster. I love the running commentary on these forums. just been out playing footy with my lad and I can't quite believe how oppressive it is out there. The heat has built so much since 4 pm (in Hinckley) and looking to the skies I think I see the first signs of convection poking through the muck and the white clouds are darkening more every time I look to the skies. I reckon 8 pm onwards will be kick off time if it's going to happen at all. love this place by the way! hope to become a regular (treat me gently though as I am no expert) ....yet!
