  1. Can anyone confirm if they just heard Thunder towards Heathrow sort of way, Lightning Map has a couple of strikes a lot closer to home than I expected.
  2. Seems like well over 10,000 recorded strikes in the last 90 minutes or so? is that right.
  3. Accuweather has updated for Reading to call this latest band of rain a Thunderstorm in around 2 hours time.
  4. It looks promising, the amount of activity between Isle of Wight and Eastbourne looks incredible. Plus some of it seems to already be pushing it's way inland ahead of the main storm.
  5. Seems to be some storm activity making a break for London off the South Coast.
  6. It looks like it yes especially as the band of rain is taking off inland as well and expanding.
  7. Seems like it's moved more inland on the Bournemouth cams, but most action still out in the Channel still.
  8. Will any storm moving along the path of the former storm lose intensity because of what has already passed and break down to just rainfall leaving most of that channel activity to move further east of the original path because it's noticeably fresher currently.
  9. If what's off the coast of Sussex decides to come on land, that will be quite something, so widespread and intense.
  10. https://www.fjbhotels.co.uk/liveview/ Harbour Heights is capturing a nice view of that lightning.
  11. I was amazed that the flashes from the first storm were still visible in Reading well over an hour after it passed over.
  12. Bournemouth might be in for another treat like 2015, less intense but more prolonged and constant.
  13. Seems like it's slightly quieter over Bournemouth, either further out to the Channel or further East, based purely on the Webcams compared to 30 mins ago.
  14. Like what was suggested above, looks like two main storm surges, one to the west on a very similar path to earlier, probably around Purbeck as we speak. The other which is larger is making a good dash towards Brighton way and up to London I would imagine.
  15. I think it's further east than the previous one at least the core of it seems to be going towards Brighton way and then up towards Central London, Kent and Essex.
  16. http://magicseaweed.com/Live-Bournemouth-Webcam/16/ that is capturing some beauties at the moment.
  17. That Bournemouth Pier webcam is just showing constant Lightning flashes, what a show.
  18. Seems to be creeping on land mostly around Isle of Wight still, the rest seems quite happy to stay in the channel for now.
  19. It doesn't look like anything wants to make a break for it inland, got three separate thunderstorm warnings for tomorrow, could be an interesting day.
  20. I wasn't expecting to come from the storm when it made land down in Dorset, outstanding.
  21. I might be mistaken but considering the lightning is making landfall at Isle of Wight instead of Christchurch, this one is going on a path slightly more east than the previous one, so London might get this one properly later on.
  22. Sitting in my studio I'm just getting this fantastic panorama of it all, one of the most enjoyable I've seen in this town, was not expecting that at all.
  23. It really seems to ramp up out by Maidenhead, few strikes then suddenly it just goes off.
