  1. winds not too strong here at the moment, but warning out for gale force in connaught, ulster coasts, stormforce for munster coasts. Id day some very strong squalls in showers. Pressurr 983.5mb rising , was 976.0 at 08:00hrs. Im guessing it was lower overnight when storm brian was passing over Ireland. Winds blowing fresh to strong north west.

  2. seen a couple of videos this evening regarding hurricane ophelia created the biggest waves ever just off the south Irish coast, 49ft waves recorded. Dahboo 77 youtube channel for viewing. I would post it but im on my phone...pure technophobe lol. Mrmbb333 youtube channel also.

  3. I agree Coldfingers, i feel western facing slopes and coasts are gonna get a bashing, spoke to a few people today and were thinking the same, based on the trajectory this storm is heading, west/east winds swinging from south east to north west, and the duration 24hrs...its not going to be pleasant in heavy showers.

Incredible, it's amazing how different a Atlantic storm looks on sat compared to a hurricane, okay the structure is similar to a degree but the sheer size difference.. Although size doesn't always equal more power..

And equally a rain event too, its been lashing down here since midday. Warning out here for 2 inches of rain. A bit of flooding i suspect.
