  1. Stunning photo of the Mecca of football last night. My part of Horwich, top right of the photo
  2. Yep that’s the views I was seeing. I don’t think any photos could have done any justice. You had to be there and see with your own eyes.
  3. Had a job today in Workington on the Cumbrian coast. Got past the Lancaster- Morecambe junction on the M6 and the snow covered fells came into view. All the way to junction 40 Penrith, the views were stunning. Still a fair bit of snow on the ground just north of Keswick and the Temp in my van was saying -4.5 at 10:30 am. Got to sub-Tropical Workington, no sign of any frost and a temp of 3c. we really do have some stunning beauty on our doorsteps in the North West. Just wish I could have took some photos.
  4. Now starting to become moderate. Big flakes, not a good sign. Got a feeling this is going to turn to rain
  5. They’ll be on a downer on the flight to Dubai after we stuff em tonight
  6. Yes at T+300 Booom charts lol. I’m not looking past T+96 anymore, sick of Booom charts that get watered down at T+24
  7. Yes it does certainly feel cold, current dp is -1 the precipitation is just to the north of me around the Preston area. The Met app (yes I know just computer generated) has now removed the rain to sleet. I think some surprises could be had later during the night.
  8. Still got impressive covering in Blackrod. Can see Horwich just over the M61. Also looks like still got full cover. Temp is saying 1c
  9. Yes it does. I looked at the met radar last night and it was showing it to be in Northern Ireland and south west Scotland. This morning it’s not even touching South West Scotland.
  10. Can’t see any gritters out and the B6226 Horwich to Bolton road has not been touched and it’s got a good covering
  11. Good covering here and coming down moderately. Some heavy echoes just west of the M61 with my name on them.. bring it on !
  12. A west north westerly will greatly benefit Greater Manchester. a direct North westerly and we are getting the scraps.
  13. Hmmm according to that, I’m getting 2cm whilst Wigan 150m lower Is getting 4cm.. one for the Bin !
  14. Trouble with Manchester is it’s only 30-50 meters above sea level: travel 14 miles North west or 14 miles North East or North of Manchester and it raises to 200 -350 meters above sea level. That is that problem with Manchester being marginal .
  15. Bangkok for a couple of nights is a must. Head to sukhumvit soi 4 and soi cowboy ( where the hangover 2 was filmed) street food is very cheap and delicious. Avoid the main restaurants as they up the price for foreigners. pattaya is ok but full of single blokes on the pull lol. if you can, go see the real Thailand in the north where my Mrs is from. You can live like a king, beer and food is very cheap and hotels you pay next to nothing. Another 5-8 years and I’ll be there for good.. the last photo is my in-laws house
