Stroud right on the southern edge of the new MO warnings for Saturday. Still a chance of some snow I reckon

Large flakes of snow coming down now in Stroud, Glos and starting to settle. Very dark sky so hopefully will carry on for a bit.

Good Afternoon. Very dark clouds and some light snow now falling over Stroud in Gloucestershire. Not settling yet.

Euro 4 highlighting the favourable angle on the streamers coming in NE/SW as storm Darcy pulls away. Certainly possibilities of these showers making it over the Westcountry with a stiff breeze. If you are lucky enough to be in the direct line of one the streams the showers could just keep coming.
Nothing to dramatic, but will be interesting to watch this evolve into tomorrow.

Looking at the latest GFS 12z run here in Glos I remain optimistic we will see a couple of cms of snow, Sunday/Monday. Then comes much greater chance Thursday/friday

I’ve seen rain turn to snow (after many hours of rain) and then settle quite a few times, so there’s that too. But it’s so damn mild today! Anyone know when is the colder air due to arrive? Is it going to get colder than now before the rain/snow arrives or later on? I’d be happier if it at least started marginal personally.....For us Stroudies I reckon Sat will be sleet unless you are on higher ground. Sunday looks better as by then we are under colder air.

Nice overnight fall here in Stroud about 6-7cms at 80 meters elevation. Was gorgeous at first light. With the nature of the airmass the snow has been melting somewhat as the day has gone on.
Managed to get a good sledging session in with my niece and nephew so all good.
Overall a nice little event and the first proper widespread snow of the winter for many in our region . Lets hope its not the last.
yes its been great here hasn't it. Been up on Minch Common. Met office forecast says light snow at 9pm

Met Office Forecast Upgrade for Stroud Area. Heavy Snow 6Pm right through to 10PM then light snow for couple of more hours

Euro 4 12z looking pretty good with the pivot position, but its going to be a case of radar and window watching I think, as in these situations ppn can come and go (or not come at all lol.)
Hopefully we will all see some snow! Im looking forward to all the updates and info from across the entire region as we wake up and go through tomorrow. Fingers crossed
